Moderator Action Sticky
Brian has requested that instead of deleting each individual comment in the Moderator Action Sticky, that we instead just create a new thread. It takes hours of less time, preserves the comments for future explanations, and just clears things up faster.
You'll notice that the previous thread is now locked, and will slowly fade back into darkness. For the time being, the link from the Useful Stuff menu will point to the wrong location. We're working on a fix for that.
This thread is an ad-hoc way of tracking what threads and comments get removed. Mods that remove a thread should post the title here with a brief reason as to why the thread is gone.
NOTE: if you leave an irrelevant comment in this thread it will be deleted.
Heil to the Victors: Congrats, OSU
Are you fucking kidding me? Once again, I feel the need to reaffirm one of the few rules around here: NO NAZIS.
Thread nuked, thread creator asploded.
Don't you all think that HE (not "she", not "it") has been dealt a tough enough hand to cut him some slack and not ridicule him on the Board? C'mon people.
Profitgoblue moderator FAIL. Self-punishment (per ZoneLeft's precedent): My points will return in a few days.
Man, I had forgotten about this.
Very old news... plus, not going there.

March madness is finally here!!!
We are aware, and we are all rooting for Michigan as well.
Dumb.
If anyone asks how they lost 1,000 times as many points tonight as Michigan left on the court in missed layups, ask them if they've said "I'm just telling it like it is" recently.
Cleaned out several threads and a pair of double-posts. If you feel you were unfairly moderated tonight by a pissed off editor who spent too much time talking to doctors about terrible choices today, I'll hear your appeals so long as you didn't say "telling it like it is."

I just cleaned up a ton of the flame war and caved several serious offenders. Being a mod for a Notre Dame version of this site would be terrible.
No, recruits are turned off by run-on paragraphs.
The intention was good but the thread unnecessary - let some melt down while others join the posbang. You're right though - the program will be fine. Its just a glass half-full vs. half-empty thing.

C'mon people now, smile on your brother, everybody get together try to hate on Ohio right now.
Wolverines #9
[UN]OFFICIAL MGOSTANCE ON TRAYVON MARTIN SITUATION:
It sucks. There is nothing good about this situation. It sucks from top to bottom, front to back, and eight ways from Sunday. But while there is much to be learned from it, the board probably isn't the place to attempt to do so. The conflagration of race, politics, and murder makes for flamebait regardless of anyone's intentions to the contrary.

I'm old. I don't know your mysterious ways or new-age music tastes. But I do know that this post is better suited for a music blog.

I think MGoUser BigBlue02 said it best:
"You know this is the Internet right? You can find actual porn on here if you want."
Also, Mrs. Kass would not appreciate this thread. In the future, ask yourself WWMK like before posting.

Good find but probably doesn't deserve its own thread. Please do post in one of the two Hollis-Burke-Brandon threads on the front page though. Definitely something people will want to read.
[Edit: I changed my mind - this whole story is thread-worthy enough that 3 different ones on the front page is fine for the off-season. If it were in-season my original stance would stand (or something like that).]
Angry Iowa RB Hating God Strikes
Already posted. And front-paged.
You sit in the box, one week, and you feel shame. But then you get free.
OTish: Iowa RB Hating God Continues
AIRBHG is taking a toll on the Board. Solitary. One week.
Post about several MSU players being arrested for burglary and then being let go by the police without a police report.
It may have happened, but we're not putting it on the board without something more than a friend of a friend told me ____________.
Consider us sucked.
OT: Does Lewis Bullock coach for Callipari and UK?
No. He doesn't.
Rumor re: Burke withdrawing from classes and signing with an agent
Sources or it doesn't count.
There are plenty of threads on Burke where you can ask this question and get pilloried for three terrible misuses of apostrophes.
I thought this thread was going to be about terrible threads. Now THAT would have been a fun read, people reminiscing about threads that got punted for various reasons. An MGoHistory of sorts. Feel free to start that one - I'll participate. This thread, however, was not much fun and a little too OT for this moderator, even during the offseason.
NCAA Rules and TB
This is thread-worthy. It is SO thread-worthy, in fact, that there are several threads on the topic already.
User was confused about what mods do. Readers over a certain points threshold are able to "moderate" comments, and those comments that get enough negative votes become grayed out. If you wish to see them, they're still there--just change your personal threshold for negative comments. The original post can still be pos'ed or negged the old fashioned way.
The thread has been deleted to protect the OP from such negging.
1) As MisopoSeth indicated, we don't moderate comments. Any user with more than 100 points can moderate comments. An upvote (funny, insightful, whatever) increases the score by 1 (up to 5), and a downvote (overrated, flamebait, etc.) decreases by 1 (down to -1).
2) You can make the "greyed" comments visible by changing the settings below the OP; where it says "threshold," set it to "-1." All comments will be visible, even the ones other people think suck.
3) Yes. We are too sensitive. We weren't loved enough by our parents, and we still haven't fully processed the Falklands War. It gets to be a lot, ya know?
I should probably send the OP on a weekend getaway to Bolivian (where I hear the weather is nice this time of year) but I'm too tired to do the extra work. Caring for a toddler and an infant at home is a LOT of work. They should videotape my life and show it in 7th grade health classes during their lessons on absenence.

He's going to Eastern Michigan?
: I'm Going to Eastern Michigan!
Oh dear, not Eastern Michigan!
: That's right, to Eastern Michigan!
Oh no! This cannot be!
Agree!
: To Ypsilanti cometh me!
Oh dearie me, how close is he!
He's even in the same County...
We'd better kill this post before they blow......
We'd like to wish the Poster-O,
A neighborly congratulo,
AND SAY FOR FUTURE REF:
'COOL STORY, BRO!'
(pick a little, talk a little: Cheep!)
A little too OT. I left it up for a bit in hopes that you got some good answers. The thread still lives in case you need to refer to it: http://mgoblog.com/mgoboard/very-ot-travel-web-sites. Its just down off the Board.

Don't get me wrong, I like bewbs. But this fails the WWMKD test ("What Would Mrs. Kass Do"). Also, the "Kate Upton is a Michigan fan" theme is being pushed to the limits with this one.
Yeah. That was pretty poor.
I'm just going to end that one.
Edit:
This one too: Whats happened to M baseball?
Edit of the edit:
This one too: Nix accepts plea deal, will meet press with Izzo
Folks, let's try to not post terrible threads. I'm relatively inactive for eight months and the place goes to pot. Don't make me start taking points again...
Removed for poster not understanding the concept of a podcast title, then deciding it was a good idea to share that misunderstanding with the world.

HA! You thought that would be something really enlightening, BUT IT WASN'T! It was a totally cheezy '80s song by Rick Astley! GOT YOU! Oh ho ho ho trololololol.
First in time, first in right. Still, its a good result for the MMB and thanks for posting it.
Even though the OP links new articles, I think this was sufficiently hashed out a while back. Plus, Meyer has to have something to say to kids considering both schools that ask about academics. Not having any answer would be stupid (even though what he has decided to say is just as silly).
OT: why is the media so enamored with tsiO recruiting?
Large school recruits good players. People notice.
Day two of the NFL draft has come and gone and Kirk Cousins is still waiting....
I can't give you a principled reason why this is so different from standard Spartyfreude... but it is.

Yeah, that was dumb.
Also deleted the second NFL Draft Open Thread.
Condescending Wonka
There is a difference between a "thread idea" and a "thread-worthy topic."
OT/NSFW: Kate Upton Demonstrates the Cat Daddy [Edit: also NSFMrs.K]
It gives me great pain to remove.
Duplicative of the earlier thread about suspensions being levied against the Saints players. Probably could just post your thoughts in that thread.
Deleted all 37 "OMG Tommy Rees" threads, because HOLY CRAP ON A BISCUIT PEOPLE IT'S ON THE FIRST PAGE AND THE FRONT PAGE.
EDIT: 38. People seem to enjoy this news.
