Miles Shuler. Speed to spare.
For some reason your video is coming up just as a screenshot of youtube. Or maybe this was intentional. Anyway, here's the actual video.
I just took a screen shot and posted it during the final 20 meters or so. Thanks for the vid.
Man, speed kills.
Not bad for a wet track.
4.38 is what, five fakes?
in NJ your forty time is simply your GPA with a "4" in front of it with a decimal adjustment.
Too bad his GPA isn't lower.
Gotcha. Touch the Banner had a great post a few days ago about fake 40s, pointing out that published "electronic" 40 times for incoming Freshman at Michigan would have taken something like 5 of the top 10 places at this years combine.
The TTB post good but keep in mind that the NFL combine isn't even all electronically timed. It's HAND start and electronic finish (however you figure out how that works, that seriously is what it is). Every scout has his own stopwatch there anyways.
There are differences in track speeds too. Some are fast, some are slow. My guess is that the NFL combine track is slow on purpose, to separate the wheat from the chaff.
he's currently ranked 2nd nationally in the 55m Dash, just ahead of Latwan

And was the 5th fastest sophomore in the country over 100m last year

EDIT: And his 10.72 100m as a soph. was faster than any sprinter in MI ran all year. As a reference Dior ran 10.92.

A 4.38 would have made him the fourth-fastest player at the Combine. He'd be .01 seconds slower than Josh Furman.
He's definitely fast, but it's fake.
Magnus, totally agree that it's fake. All 40 times will be until they start using FAT. However this is a guy who has a legitimate chance to win a national championship in two weeks if he enters, and as an underclassman. Yes 4.38 is fake, but it's less fake than most 40s we hear about.
no one catches him, with the possible exception of DRob.
is one of our quarterbacks chasing another one of our quarterbacks? Doesn't sound like they're "getting the offense" yet...
At least they're not clapping before the snap anymore. Baby steps, man.
...although Shuler is a receiver, not a QB.
Oh sure you run a 4.38 but your strides are too long...Sorry only 14 scholarships this year and we need short striders. Good luck kid.
Man, this kid would look really good in Maize and Blue!!
the non Conway receiver instead of Arnett?
george farmer or davaris daniels would be nice (arnett as well), but if they dont work out i would think a spot could be open for a slot ninja with dilithium speed
I think getting Farmer is pretty far-fetched. Daniels, maybe. Shuler could play slot or he could play outside receiver, but they're not going after many slot ninjas.
They're either looking for a Roy Roundtree-like slot (although Shuler would be faster) or they're looking for a wideout.
just an idea, but could dj williamson turn into this Roy Roundtree slot guy? if i remember correct theyre about the same height and i know dj has some speed (ohio 100m champ) to him. ive heard of him being on the outside but if a physical, fast reciever is wanted in the slot maybe he could work?
Williamson said around signing day that he's going to start off in the slot.
No relation to Heath, I'm assuming...
