One of those guys who feels important be creating the "in-game" thread.
I guess we can expect the "Night games - Drinking Thread" within the hour.

You really made the universe a better place today. Give yourself a big pat on the back.
November 10th, 2012 at 12:56 PM ^
But seriously, this was made waaay too early and it isn't all that difficult to make a reasonable guess at your motives.
November 10th, 2012 at 1:01 PM ^
It was that or have two M-NU open threads. Check the timestamps before you throw around accusations.
November 10th, 2012 at 1:03 PM ^
Ah, all apologies
November 10th, 2012 at 1:05 PM ^
Apology accepted, no hard feelings. Enjoy the game.
November 10th, 2012 at 1:31 PM ^
Any time someone says "apology accepted" and doesn't follow it with "Captain Needa," I get a little sad at the missed opportunity.
November 10th, 2012 at 12:36 PM ^
That was NOT a late hit, he was still making a football play! These new "player protection" rules are seriously impacting the way the game is played in a negative way. Quarterbacks can start making these crazy jump-throws as they appear to be running out of bounds, knowing that they are untouchable.

November 10th, 2012 at 1:29 PM ^
I wish our receivers could get open...they seem to not be able to get separation.
I wish we had a run game with our running backs out of the pro set.
Question for the board: who do you think plays the quarterback position better...Devin or Denard?
Who the better athlete overall is NOT in question, just who do you think plays that position better.
What do you think?
November 10th, 2012 at 1:41 PM ^
This year?
The big caveat is sample size, but I really like the way Devin is playing. Who'd a thunk we would have a quasi-QB controversy in Denard's senior year. Does that mean he will be the next Tom Brady in the NFL? I don't think there's even a question, that is a yes.
November 10th, 2012 at 1:52 PM ^
I bet JDK looks decent against Minny and NW. Too bad Notorious C.O.N.E. can't play, he'd drop some fools
November 10th, 2012 at 1:38 PM ^
They are running 2 completly different offenses. Denard gives us a running game. We have no running game from the RB's.
November 10th, 2012 at 1:42 PM ^
Lack of blocks seems to be the big problem for the RB's.
November 10th, 2012 at 1:44 PM ^
I realize there are a lot of Denard enthusiasts on here, and for very good reason. However, I think that Devin has a perfectly adequate rushing game himself. Not as flashy as Denard, but still very solid. I also think that Devin may be a bit more multidimensional. This is not a knock on Denard. He's the most exciting player to play QB... maybe ever. We do have two very solid options, obviously.
November 10th, 2012 at 2:36 PM ^
rushing yards have come on scrambles, not on designed runs. Devin's is a very good athlete, but the big play ability running the ball is nowhere near the same. Somebody else already said it, but Denard is basically the entire designed running game for the offense, due to his ability to make up for subpar blocking upfront. Not having a designed running game at all, doesn't seem like an equal tradeoff for a better passing game.
November 10th, 2012 at 1:40 PM ^
Excellent, let's get on with it.
November 10th, 2012 at 1:45 PM ^
We contain their QB scrambles and we win. Simple, right?
November 10th, 2012 at 1:47 PM ^
Can we please hit their quarterback?
November 10th, 2012 at 1:49 PM ^
Stop converting 3rd and longs in the air NU!
November 10th, 2012 at 1:51 PM ^
Ryans been non existent.
November 10th, 2012 at 1:51 PM ^
7NA has been deployed.
November 10th, 2012 at 1:51 PM ^
Colter is just too quick for our front 7 to corral. He jukes them out. We have no answer for his speed
November 10th, 2012 at 1:56 PM ^
Is too quick then we are in trouble against Ohio in 2 weeks.
November 10th, 2012 at 1:52 PM ^
Arky down 21-10 to SCar at the half.

Kovacs is not having a good game at all.
November 10th, 2012 at 1:54 PM ^
If we can't find a way to win this loss would really sting. All losses sting but were supposed to beat NW. Damn you pat Fitzgerald for bringing relevance to NW.
November 10th, 2012 at 1:55 PM ^
Must stop spread
November 10th, 2012 at 1:57 PM ^
Still no run game.
November 10th, 2012 at 1:58 PM ^
Gardner tried to do too much and almost threw an INT while jumping in midair.
November 10th, 2012 at 1:58 PM ^
Northfleet always up the middle
November 10th, 2012 at 1:59 PM ^
Everytime we Play action it seems like the running holes are huge! I feel like NU knows something that our line is doing.
November 10th, 2012 at 2:00 PM ^
Every time we play action, out line just pass blocks giving the LBs a heads up. It's pretty considerate
November 10th, 2012 at 2:03 PM ^
Easy read even for the lowest levels of football.
November 10th, 2012 at 2:05 PM ^
That is what always happens on a standard play action pass.
November 10th, 2012 at 2:11 PM ^
Almost as considerate as pulling our back side guard on veer. Instead of getting a guard out on a LB, we use the guard to signal where the play is going and clutter up the mesh point
November 10th, 2012 at 2:00 PM ^
Action on 2nd and 10 is not faking anyone out. Please stop Borges.
November 10th, 2012 at 2:05 PM ^
This is depressing. That's all
November 10th, 2012 at 2:05 PM ^
Michigan needs a big play. Northwestern is destroying the defense and picking up tons of yards after contact. Very frustrating.
