Michigan v. Purdue BBALL/Football recruiting...roll with me on this one

Submitted by dpowell7 on
I was at the bball game tonight and it was easily the best michigan game I have seen. The place was crazy loud, and it was the most fun I have had at a michigan bball game. I was sitting behind rich rod, all be it way up. Big Will was chillin there, and there were four big dudes sitting in the same row as RR but not next to him. At half time, RR the four big guys, Will and possibly Tony Dews all went down the tunnel. I am wondering if anyone has an offical or unofficial for tonight, cuz they picked a good night for it. Also they left about 5 min, game time, into the second half. So it might have been D Gardner who has to make the trip back to inkster. Tom if you have any info let us know.

Devin G was already at one game this year. Would not surprise me if he was at this one on an unofficial but I think he has buddies so it could have been just a social visit if it was him.

The vistors last night were Mylan Hicks (cb)from Michigan. Jeremy Jackson (wr, commit) Lawrence Thomas (LB) from Michigan and yeah Dior Matthis. Sam Webb says to remember the name of Lawrence Thomas. He is a kid out of the 2011 class. He thinks he is going to be big. On the basketball side of recruiting a name that we all know showed up I guess osmosis...sorta. Juwuan Howard Jr. was in attendance.

Since tone is easily misinterpreted in the internets, I will be explicit: I just like words. Below is some information. Your use of "all be it" is incorrect grammatically, though it is correct phonically. The proper term is "albeit". It's a conjunction. And it means "despite its being". You did use it correctly.

"In the United Kingdom, Canada, and islands under the influence of British education, punctuation around quotation marks is more apt to follow logic. In American style, then, you would write: My favorite poem is Robert Frost's "Design." But in England you would write: My favorite poem is Robert Frost's "Design"." So, not always. If you are foreign.

Just because this is the way the thread is going....quotation marks within quotation marks are single rather than double. Correct form would be: "In American style, then, you would write: My favorite poem is Robert Frost's 'Design.' But in England you would write: My favorite poem is Robert Frost's 'Design'." Just sayin'.

I came back to actually read the thread (probably compelled by guilt). Thanks for the recount. I wonder if, despite this unofficial (Are there even any 'official' visits this early in the process?) visit, Mathis is still gone.
