Michigan-PSU rivalry?
Been wanting to ask this question all week but never got around to it?
Does anyone consider this game a rivalry? Now that it will be contested yearly?
Had the feeling tonight of a rivalry. A lot of down to the wire and close games between these two.

No. A rival is more than someone you really want to beat. There has to be some natural connection built up over time.
Besides, isn't MSU their B1G-assigned rival?

I don't think it's a rivalry but on a sidenote I think we have our night game for next year.

It's felt like a rivalry to me since Manningham.

It did feel somewhat like a rivalry game, but I pretty much hate them like any other opponent who isn't Ohio State. Then again, Penn State is on my list! First, their basketball team and now this, so I could definitely see the match-up eventually turning into a serious rivalry. And I sort of felt that way about Nebraska, but it doesn't look like Michigan will play them often enough.
