Good to see Joe Milton's small bounces for timing. Certainly not as precise as Tom Brady's (whose are?), but seemed in rhythm with his reads.

I think there is a decent chance we see a two qb system this fall with SP and DM, with whoever performs better taking over full time, by the last third of the season. Milton and McNamara are both phenomenal as well and we are LOADED at qb for the first time in forever. Having too many good qbs is a great problem to have.

Competing series to series is a great way to figure out who’s better.

So the Brady-Henson approach that was universally applauded and has been recreated multiple times since then...There is a reason no one does that with QBs.

Plus, the only game that matters at this point is Osu (half joking) so by then we would have a solidified starter.

@Wisconsin is week 4. @PSU and ND are week 8 & 9. Michigan isn't winning those 3 games with 2 QBs switching off series.

I think it could work with this group.

It has never worked before, but this group is the exception to the rule for... reasons? It's not so much a function of the QB's talent as it is how it screws with rhythm and scheme. Patterson and McCaffrey aren't the same QB except 1 has a slightly different read on Cover 2. They are different and not just a plug in.

If we win all 3 of those games, will it matter if we lose to Osu?

If they lose all 3 of those games they don't win the East. If they lose to OSU after winning the other games, it would suck but a QB competition going for 9 weeks into the season won't be the reason they beat OSU.

I think DM looked great and is going to be a great QB, but Shea is our starting QB and DM is not taking that position away from him.  This is no dig on DM either, but Shea is an elite QB and we should appreciate what he brings to our team while we have him.

My immediate reactions:

1: Shea has a extremely quick release

2. Ben VanSummeren is a BIG dude

3. Milton looks like he needs work stepping into throws looks like he uses just is arm most of the time, albeit it’s a great arm.

4. Ben Mason needs work in his DL drills but if he turns the corner I could see him as a Karl Klug type DT who played around 260-270 at Iowa. The two appear to have similar builds and much like Mason, Klug was an ILB as a recruit.

Our fanbase is just chomping at the bit to see great football.  We have some of the greatest fans in college football.  I think (emphasis on think) Harbaugh is getting us there.  Just watching these clips gets me excited for this team!

This is great, thanks.

Hoping someone posts a video of the spring “game” given it is not bring televised.

San Fransisco play card sighting at 3:25.

I'd be cool with the play cards being NFL team logos.  In a subconscious way, it might help potential recruits associate U of M with the League.
