Michigan offers 2017 WR/CB Kahlee "K.J." Hamler
Michigan offered Orchard Lake St. Mary's wide receiver/cornerback K.J. Hamler today. This is potentially significant since he's considered one of the top prospects in the state for 2017. I know some have differing opinions, but I happen to think 2017 is a pretty strong class within the state, especially at the skill positions. Linemen develop a little bit later so maybe more will pop up on the radar, but there are several running backs, wide receivers, and cornerbacks that I would be happy with if they signed with Michigan.
comin' Harbaugh, thanks for the info and link Magnus.
has a great carnival on Memorial Day weekend.
This is one school it would be good to establish a more productive pipeline to. It seems a lot of good Orchard Lake players have gotten away from us in recent years.
Magnus have you heard anything about possible transfers being announced today? There is quite a bit of speculation on the rivals board about some players leaving and possible grad transfers.
Yeah, I have a post about it on my site. There are a few names I know of, but none of the transfers are totally concrete yet. I also know of two guys who are probably going to take medicals.
I would say that Fox and Drake Johnson would be most likely for medical redshirts.
Rumors that I've seen through various 4th and 5th hand accounts are: a QB transferring out, a young defensive player transferring out (*not a D-lineman or Peppers), two medical scholarships, and another possible grad transfer in (*WR, possibly).
A common thought was Drake Harris taking a medical, but that has been dismissed at the moment.
getting Peoples Jones is a must.
No offense, but I don't really understand comments like this. We can win football games even if we don't get ___________ (in this case, Peoples-Jones). I think Peoples-Jones should be a high priority, but saying he's a "must get" sets us up for panic if he commits elsewhere.
Yeah the world won't stop spinning or anything but Peoples Jones is a top 10 national recruit at a position of need. If he goes elsewhere it will probably be Columbus so that would really hurt.

First of all, there's no strong evidence that they do. No Cass Tech player has committed to Ohio State since that Mike Weber thing went down.
But secondly, winning cures all. Ultimately, kids want to get to the NFL and play winning football, and that's what Ohio State can offer them.
This kid's film is awesome. A must have.
Yeah, if Rodriguez were the coach, Hamler would have been offered a year ago. It will be interesting to see where he plays and what he does in college. Right now he's really tiny, but he and Ambry Thomas from Detroit King are two of the fastest players in the state.
I'd be okay with that, as long as Hamler doesn't drop the ball at the 1-yard line...
