interesting watching the mgobluetv production because they don't turn the announcers mics off during it so you can hear them chatting about the ads and chatting with the producers

Rough first half outside the PPG, but then a dominant second half. M had the last 14 shots of the period, I think. Started behind 12-4 though so that's not good.

Am I wrong or is the puck much easier to follow at this angle and camera zoom? It seems much easier than the normal NHL game.

I admittedly don't follow the hockey team as much as I used to...What's the collective opinion so far with Mel? I know it's super early in the season, but have most fans been impressed with what they've seen? Or has it just been too few games to make any judgements?

the last years of Red were rough, a lot of wasted talent - reminiscent of the Hoke years for me. You can see the team just looks a lot more...solid? than they have before. We look better coached to my amateur eyes

Better defense. Still some work to do, but I kinda feel there wasn't much taught on the defensive side in a while. I've been very frustrated at the lack of even adequate D, and it's been night and day in the short time Mel has been in charge.
