He has also beaten USC, Oregon, Oklahoma (his players, coaching staff and gameplan) and Georgia. Time did not begin and end for him at "Lloyd Carr's University of Michigan"

Are you that uncomfortable?

Surely you mean the J. Ira and Nikki Harris and Family Lloyd Carr's University of Michigan.

he couldn't beat his meat while at Michigan. He might have been a contender.

A Saturday night prime time start for a game of only regional interest?
February 20th, 2014 at 1:11 PM ^
Wrong. Notre Dame has and always will attract national attention.

it didn't stop Notre Dame, when it was announcing the cessation of the series, from making the claim that the game had little significance outside the region.

All the more reason to lay an butt kicking on them as they go away.

It was announced as a night game back in December. See this. The only news today was the actual time of the game.

No surprise it's a night game. Really hope we can beat them in their house and give them a lot of years not playing us and unable to get that sour taste out of their mouths after a lot of losses to Michigan.

I have no doubt in my mind we will beat Notre Dame again. However, what about Appalachian State? They upset us a few years back and I don't want a repeat of that incident.

I thought the /s was pretty clear in that one...

I like to believe that we came out of those first two weeks of 2007 so pissed that we laid waste to what was admittedly a not very good Notre Dame team that year, but it still felt cathartic somehow given how things had gone before that. I would hope that we don't need similar motivation this time around, that's all. As someone said below, Appalachian State is not the pesky FCS team that they once were, so we should be OK.

know if we will get an opportunity to buy tix for the game through the Michigan ticket office? I can't recall if that was an option in the recent past.

I'm annoyed that ND has already announced their start times for all their home games, and we don't have a single start at Michigan set yet. (That's the only reason we know the time of the Michigan game.) I wish Michigan could set more start times earlier than a week or two prior to the game.
I understand that some of the problem is being part of the Big 10 Conference, and the fact that TV Networks want the "best" games later in the day. That only goes so far. Brandon could actually leverage this to make even more money: set the game times now, and charge TV Networks $500k to change the start time. At the very least, Michigan should be able to schedule Appy State, Miami (NTM) and Utah. And we know the Ohio game is going to be at noon.
Oh well, no use complaining about something you can't fix.

ND also has their own, individual contract with NBC. We are competing for time slots with the rest of the conference which will adjust as the season progresses

Damn your thread title!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I did a quick mental run-through (insert 'must have been quick' barb) of my calendar for tonight to make sure I wouldn't miss the game...
Alas....September.
(I also thought to run to the basement to make sure I wouldn't be spending the evening hauling buckets of slush to the back door due to a malfunctioning sump pump --- should probably do that anyway).

I figured this would be a night game and it should be. It will be fun beating them for the last time in the foreseeable future.

ND moved their traditional blood match against Purdue to a dome in Indy. That move alone clearly shows us how they feel about our rivalry.
