Michigan Daily feature on Woolfolk & Roundtree
Terrific piece by Michigan Daily photographer Marissa McClain. To the surprise of exactly no one, the Daily's sports coverage is better than the Freep's. This is actually a pretty old article from last November but it wasn't featured here before on mgoblog, as far as I could tell. (If it was, my apologies) It was written the week of the Akron Southwest Community Remedial Junior Vocational Preparatory Academy game, so it might've gotten lost in the shuffle of pregame hype. Anyways, enjoy!

As for the article, that was a pretty good read. I do enjoy getting insights like this into our players. I particularly liked the part where Roundtree described what it is like to basically do what he does on the field. It's a unique perspective and I appreciate hearing how players feel as they play.

The picture is the item that carries the older date. A great article, regardless!

The article was published in November. The banner with today's date is just the standard one for the website.

So proud to call these kids Michigan Men, and see them suit up every week in the maize and blue. As frustrating as Troy may have been at times, he sacraficed a lot for this team, and we should all be incredibly grateful. He worked his ass off to overcome an injury that likely would have sidelined most of us for even longer.

That's a good article.

Troy just checked into my hotel here in Scottsdale, AZ. Seemed like a very nice guy. Well spoked and humble. I'm not sure what he was doing here but he checked in with his dad and what looks like his agent.

Arizona......Arizona.....who does Troy know who lives/works in Arizona.....???
Hmmmmm.

If you're suggesting Rich Rodriguez, I'd doubt it. Scottsdale is over 100 miles away from Tucson.
Maybe he's visiting TomVH?

Except for Rich Rod. But what are you getting at exactly?

Clearly we must check all flights to and from Detroit and Tuscon Arizona and start a threadwatch for such goings on.

Thanks for posting. That article is a terrific example of the best of Michigan: a well-written and insightful piece in the student newspaper about a pair of high quality student-athletes. It puts 99% of mainstream sports reporting to shame. The reporter has a bright future, whether in photography or other branches of journalism.
Here's wishing the best to Troy, who caught too many breaks, and to Roy, who has one more season to shine. Go Blue!

Roundtree was originally from Pahokee? That's pretty wild.
