Michigan Commits as State Champions (RJS, TR, Ross)
RJS and Terry Richardson defeated Godin and Shallmen as Cass Tech beat Catholic Central 49 to 13 earlier today.
James Ross and St. Mary's defeated Mt. Pleasant 45 to 7 for the Division 3 State Championship.
Pretty amazing that RJS, TR, and Ross all win states in the same year. As childhood best friends and Michigan commits, Congrats to all of them!

I was down there to Ford Field today. Cass Tech looked good. Good for all those guys.

I believe Cass Tech is just the second PSL team to win a state championship. And Catholic Central is always a tough opponent. The score really surprised me.

Great! Great to hear michigan commits dominating the playing field! If it has any meaning, Cass Techs coach is former Michigan runningback and track star Tom Wilcher

What's even weird is that none of these guys are going to be expected to come in next year and fill a needed role. They can actually take some time and develop. Crazy.

Add some weight to James Ross and RJS and you have two huge linebackers. This class is going to have some big producers.

Ross probably isn't going to get a great deal bigger.

Also, those 3 will be the foundation of an All World defense, with Pipkens, Godin, Bolden, Countess, Morgan (I could keep going, but am just going to stop now!!)

i dont have many points. i was on wolverine nation and an espn insider said a 2013 cb almost committed. i got to see the name and it was a mister shaq wiggins. would be a huge get in my opinion. says he really likes michigan.

As an insider, you just passed that information along to a ton of outsiders.
Would be a big pickup though.

How do you all think Campbell will pan out? He definitely seems impressive, especially for his age.

I saw Cass play 3 times this year and the kid is good. He holds the ball high, makes good reads for a kid who has played 1 year of varsity football and has a strong arm. I think he will end up as a MAC level QB at the very least and probably a AQ school QB. If you look at his build he is going to add 25-30 pounds to his frame as well. Wilcher has a gem on his hands. I'd add to this "future Cass star" list Lewis (CB-jr) and Kenton Gibbs (Lineman-soph), both should be future Michigan targets. (Lewis already is actually...)

Cass Tech finally win.....
congrats to them.

I saw Kenton Gibbs ( 73,2013 ,JR) of Cass Tech Control Matthew Godin ( 62 ,2012 SR Uof M comit)So bad the coach of DCC pulled Matthew atleast twice for being ineffective during the state finals at ford field sat !!!! I taked to Kenton Gibbs after the game and asked him how he had such a great game blocking Godin and he said "I had to prove he wasnt rightfully ranked higher than me and I did " !!!!! I was floored but that statement spoke tons for Mr.Gibbs . Anyone doubting this, Game footage dont lie ... Go CT !!!!!!!
