And those of us that don't have access to ESPNU are still looking for a P2P of the game, and finding one appears highly unlikely at the moment....

never fear, the interwebs will save you:

Cool, thanks for the link. He had the Duke game last night, but made it sound more like a freak occurrence than the norm. The more sources for games, the better...

Eh, not really looking much better even against Tech.

I didn't watch a whole lot last year, has Beilein always been THIS reliant on outside shooting? I know he preaches the importance of hitting the three, but first half they were 5/10 from the three point line and up by 18, now they're up by 8 and they're like 1/8. This is kind of embarrassing to watch.

The 3pt shot has really opened up the inside cutting lanes. Its been effective thus far. We've done a real good job breaking up MTech's passing lanes tonight. Our passing has been pretty crisp as well. With 8 minutes to go, I think its been a pretty good game against a meh MTech team.

Anyone else think the defense could have been better last night? The zone worked nicely, but I think a lot of the good defensive plays were the result of a lack of discipline on the part of MTech. A few too many easy buckets for my taste. The offense looked pretty decent but I think I'll hold off judgment on that til we play a D-I team.

.....that Michigan covered the -21 they were laying last night to the Techsters.....I mean, how clutch is that?!?!
Bigger test tonight with Northeastern. They are an upper division team from the dangerous Colonial Conference (VCU, G Mason) and I believe they have all five starters back from last year. They can play ball and look at a win tonight as something that might go a long way to getting themselves into some postseason play come March.
We'll learn a bit more about Michigan tonight. They will be favored by about 6-8 points, although thats just a guess as I have not seen a line yet.

Anyone have a clue where we can view this game if we don't have ESPNU? I saw that someone found a web site that was broadcasting it last night. Any chance that happens tonight as well?

I think it's on ESPN2 tonight.

That same site should be broadcasting it again tonight, at least that's what was indicated during the game last night. I think ESPN2 only picks up the tourney games once they get to MSG.

Michigan is favored by 5.5 tonight.
Tip at 8.
Northeastern has a lot of scorers.....Michigan is going to need somebody else to pick up the scoring slack beyond Manny if this gets into a shoot out......should be fun to see if JB's defensive scheme can keep NE down.

From watching the game last night, they seemed to play more 1-3-1 half-court press than in any game last year, which helped generate a few turnovers when they did. They were able to trap the PGs more effectively. Hopefully it's a sign of things to come as JB finds the right mix of players on the floor to run it more often.
Sims came off the bench last night but they never really got him going in the post. Hopefully they can get him the ball down low more often so he can open things up for the shooters. It's going to be an interesting game.
