Michigan 2010 recruiting needs

Submitted by McFarlin on
Quarterback - MODERATE. With Devin Gardner's commit, one more QB is needed. Running back - MODERATE. Grady, Brown and Minor will all be gone next year. Michigan will need 2 or 3 to compliment Cox, Shaw, Toussaint, and Smith. Power back - LOW. If Hopkins stays committed then Michigan may not need another. However, another could not hurt. Outside Wide Receiver - LOW. Michigan already has 4 outside Wide Receiver commits in the 2010 class. Slot Receiver - LOW. With Drake's commitment, Michigan may only need to take one or possibly two. Michigan has plenty of depth at slot. Tight End - LOW. Michigan has plenty of depth at TE. However I can see Michigan signing one or possibly two. Offensive Linemen - MODERATE. Always take 3. Defensive Tackle - HIGH. With Martin and Campbell the only real options at DT, Michigan needs at least 2 to give solid depth. Defensive End - MODERATE. Michigan signed 2 in the 2009 class, however Michigan is still pretty thin at DE. I see Michigan taking 2 in the 2010 class, maybe 3. Linebacker - MODERATE/HIGH. With more and more players being switched to linebacker Michigan may only need two linebackers in the 2010 class. They may need more if the players recently switched don't pan out. Michigan needs a TRUE Middle linebacker. Defensive Back - HIGH. Michigan's thinnest position. I see Michigan taking at least 4, if not more. Robinson committed, but Michigan is going to need way more if they hope to build solid depth at DB. Kicker/Punter - MODERATE. Gibbons is signed. However Mesko will be gone soon. Michigan needs to take at least 1.

...McFarlin. I also am sure Rich Rod is thankful you let him know what he should focus his recruiting on. I am certain he, and the rest of the Michigan blogosphere, had no idea who he should be targeting in recruiting for the 2010 class. Oh yeah, one more thing. Who is Roah? And why should he ban out, or is that a Freudian slip on your part?

Grow up. The reason you don't see any of my recruiting charts is because I trust that the coaches of the football program at the University of Michigan know what their recruiting needs are. Further, I don't really think I need to replicate the fine work found on the 2010 recruiting board on this site. Lastly, you must be 12 years old. Or, you're 35 and need to move out of your parents' basement.

No way they take 3 DTs this year. First off their isn't that much talent out there to use three schollies on. I'm hoping for Floyd and Hankins. AJ Cann and Jibreel Black are wild cards, but both would have to put on some serious weight to be able to play their freshmen year. No way do I see them taking any more. If I count right you are at 25 recruits on the low end and 30 on the high end. There is no way there will be that many spots available.

I know everyone here was a big meanie to you the other day. I'm sure you cried about it for a good long while. I know I did. But you came back, and that's what's important. You showed moxie. You didn't give up. You had important things to say. Thoughts that needed to be shared. Like your thoughts on penis sucking and related career paths. My only suggestion is to be selective with your insults. Now, don't get me wrong. "Penis sucking job" is fucking gold. No need to take a mulligan on that one. I'm just concerned that you used the same theme twice in the same thread. You don't want to overexpose the insult. Leave the audience wanting more. Always keep them guessing. It's not like there's a time limit. Take your time. Think it through. I know you have it in you. You're clearly the type to take the road less traveled. In fact, I think you're the ONLY traveler on that road. Ramble on, little McFarlin. Ramble on.

I too appreciate the complex puzzle that is Mcfarlin. I have grown to admire the multifaceted and well roundedness of his zingers. It warms my heart to see that someone else here shares my sentiments. Now I would be remiss if I didn't say that I am ashamed of my fellow bretheren here who have taken to the Mblog streets with pitchforks and torches with the thirst of blood on their lips, seeking to destroy the one original voice we still have here. Mcfarlin, guardian of Tate, bearer of the whimsical wit. Oh, Mcfarlin, poor soul. You have been cursed with the gift of originality in a place that clutches to its traditions. But fear not, your coming to this place was foreseen! For the keepers of the souls Mfans everywhere spoke of this day. The day when one would come and rattle the cages of the old fuddy duddy's. That day is now. All I can say is rattle on, Mcfarlin...rattle on. Oh, and from this day forward CPS shall be your guide on your God forsaken journey to protect all that is Tate. Listen to him. He means thee well.

You may want to do some math before you add up each position group. We have maybe 20 schollies, I think you have about 30 guys listed.

You're just too funny Mcfarlin, I might love you because you're so funny, but this might be the dumbest post ever because you're just regurgitating what is on the recruiting board and sprinkling whatever qualifications you have.
