Michigan's Invading Little Brother's Room This Friday
What an incredible first round series for the maize and blue and congrats to Hunwick for his outstanding goaltending only letting in 2 goals in the matchup between the Lake Superior Lakers. Michigan finished off LSSU on Saturday night with an incredible 6-0 beat down including a hat trick from king Louie. Now this is the Michigan hockey team I know and have always known. Puck possessive, dominative and fast scoring. I tip my hat to Red and his boys for a great first round and now it's off to MSU to take on those ugly green and white sons of bitches. I honestly think with this momentum we can upset State and move onto in the final round and maybe win! This Michigan team has a strong force going into East Lansing now and I'm looking forward to a great game this Friday and Saturday! (hoping it's not a Sunday one) GO BLUE!
On the off topic note Detroit beats Chicago by scoring an incredible 5 unanswered goals in the 2nd period to hold on to defeat the Hawks on the road 5-4. With that win Detroit has won 2 in a row and held on to for the time being, 8th place in the Western Conference! Note that Bertuzzi does not have a serious injury after Sunday.

Things need to turn around asap. RichRod needs to have a big season, with beating MSU near the top of the priority list because I'm sick of hearing it from those fuckers.
Beilien needs to get his boys on the Barwis plan because his team looked like a fucking JV team out there. Dont get me wrong, MSU is good, but it's not like they were some type of montrous team. We made them look like the fucking Lakers last night.
Things better start to turn around quickly. I feel good about the change at the top - David Brandon - and that winning will be priority number one for him.
I'm happy that college sports are a business, because that means we'll be back soon - $$ is going to stop flowing in, which will put a lot of feet to the fire.

How's this for pissed? I've been unemployed since December 28th. I lost a job with health care benefits, dental care, auto insurance and tuition coverage. I lost every fucking need that I need to keep myself healthy, safe and paid for and I fucking lost it in a god damn letter saying " we regret to let you go." You are pissed about a game? I must say your priorities fascinate me...
I'm sorry that you lost your job. I hope you get another one, I'm sure that you deserve it.
I am self employed. I pay for my own health insurance (which is shitty insurance, but it's by choice). Pay for my own auto insurance. Don't go to the dentist, and if I did, I'd pay for it out of pocket. I don't get a pay check that arrives at my desk every two weeks.
I work in a results economy - I don't get paid until I produce results. Did I take my lumps in this economy? Hell yes I did - and since I'm self employed, I can't/couldn't depend on Uncle Sam for an unemployment check every month.
My business is going well right now - which is a huge difference from where I was 12-18 months ago.
I don't know you, so I'm only passing judgement on your last post, so forgive me if I get you dead wrong - But it sounds like you have a sense of entitlement and are crying because you lost your job. It's that sense of entitlement that is screwing this country.
My advice is this - Find something you are good at. Pick yourself up by the bootstraps and go make for yourself. Don't depend on someone else to give you a living, make one for yourself.
I'm pissed about Michigan sports and am posting because this is a Michigan sports blog - Obviously I'm aware of the fact that there are more important things in life.
You picked the wrong guy to call out about priorities - I know all about what the hard times in work are like - but I stuck it out and made it through, and you can do the same.

As someone who is also unemployed, I honestly disagree with you. I graduated last year and am still looking for a job.
With as much of the country out of work, and the media piling on the negativity everyday, we really don't need anyone else heaping on, sorry.
It's a lot easier to criticize others when you're doing well.
I made $5,000 (Revenue) in a 12 month period in this past recession. This is revenue, not income. I operated at a loss, owed money to the IRS, Credit Cards, and worked odd jobs that I never thought I'd go back to after I graduated from (gasp!) Michigan. My industry fell into the dumps, and currently still is.
I'm definitely feel for you guys. And I'm not trying to pile it on.
But I'm just saying this because his first post attacking my "priorities" and then stating his loss of "job, health insurance, auto insurance etc." clearly exemplified the sense of entitlement that makes me sick and is ruining this country.
I am doing well now because I worked hard, stuck my nose to the ground and didn't give up. You shouldn't either.
My mindset is this: I am not entitled to shit. Not a paycheck. Not health insurance. Not auto insurance. Not dental insurance.
I wake up every day, including saturday and sunday, and hustle like a motherfucker.

Their rampant inferiority complex has made themselves little brother, which they'll always be, regardless of finally beating Michigan two consecutive years in football in over 40 years.
That said, having threads about them just legitimizes their very existence as a rival, which they are not.
They are a rival. Don't be an elitist d bag and think otherwise. Maybe not our biggest, but our most annoying rival no doubt.
