MGoBlog Banner Contest Jinx?
Is there going to be a new banner contest this year? Brian mentioned a possible jinx after the App State and Utah losses both followed banner contests.
Should we have another contest this year or is there too much bad mojo surrounding banner updates?
Personally I like seeing all of the submissions, particularly Yvgeni's, who if you don't know about get educated. Also a shout out to Gerv, who made a sweet banner.
I've decided against it, since the current banner features Minor and makes sense for the upcoming season. There will be one next year when Minor graduates.
But understood, given the Minor relevance.
Is there a way you could work in a rotation - say a different one when you refresh the site / click to another page? Could be a cool way to keep this one, but work in some others?
I would laugh my ass off if I was clicking around and all the sudden Naked Guy randomly showed up.
Also, Brian, I vote that you manually change your point total to eleventy million.

I like throwing up the occasional curveball, google-style, but prefer a mostly consistent look. If people send me banners for specific events, I'll consider using them. Last year Yvgeni had a Halloween banner and there was, of course, naked guy.
oh well... 150 hours of photoshop cross-training for nothing. I could have been a contender this year...

they are nice. my work and home computers rotate all of your michigan background. been that way for quite some time.
Didn't this banner come in halfway through the year? We played much better with this banner than the last one.
