There doesn't appear to be any truly dreadful stretch on there. Maybe a 3 game stretch in mid-Feb that will be tough, but 2 of those are at home.

they lost 2 home games last year and had their win over Kansas stolen by the refs.

Peru Rico Classic, I expect Michigan to win at least 1 game (2 seems likely) with a possible loss to Georgetown or Kansas State at the championship game.

At minimum, 2-3 losses should be the expectation. Expecting a 7-0 start before facing Duke may be unrealistic considering they're breaking in a new PG in Walton and unknown in Spike with an increased playing time.  Remember, Michigan is still a young team.  Talented but young.

My first impression overall is that the ebb and flow of potential difficulty is a little more even in this schedule as opposed to last year's. Last year, about 3-4 weeks of the conference schedule (mostly in February) seemed like they were particularly brutal for various reasons.

of Home and Away games alternating.  Only one stretch of back to back away games (followed by back to back home games).  I think overally this is a schedule that should be harder to have losing streaks, but definitely some tough games in the B1G.  Would nominally expect 13-5 right now for B1G record.

Aside from the obvious travesty that is playing Ohio only once (@Ohio nontheless), schedule looks managable.  If we have more than 2 losses before Jan 18th @Wisconsin I'd be ... well, not thrilled.

Duke and Arizona are the most obvious challenges in the non-conference slate.

Those complaining about being at ohio need to remember it is all part of B1G single play. Michigan gets them at home next year for the one and only regular season meeting.

The B1G sucks in regards to basketball scheduling. No rivalry is safe. Michigan had state in single play twice in 2000s. Granted, it wasn't much of a rivalry. But now I think it is safe.

College Gameday should be in A2.

Season opener with UMass-Lowell. Ouch.

This will be their first season as a D1 school.

Frankly, it's our own fault.  You can't blame the Big Ten for wanting to put marquee matchups at the end of the season; every conference does that.   The problem is that we insist on having a "spring" break at the end of February/beginning of March, which is earlier than almost every other school in the country.

In any event, I thought we had a great crowd for the IU game this year regardless.

ISU is definitely a trap... Don't know why they scheduled that tough of a road game literally one week after the regular season starts. It will end up being a huge test for the youngsters.

of interesting matchups. I particularly like the Coppin State game scheduled the day before The Game during Thanksgiving weekend. That ought to be a great weekend.

And then you have the New Years Day scenarios with bball, Red Wings at the Big House and Michigan possibly in the Rose Bowl.

That opening night conference game on the road at Minnesota won't be easy. MSU struggled there and lost that game a year ago in the opener. Playing in that barn isn't like playing other places. But by then Michigan will have possibly already played two ACC and PAC 12 schools.

I know folks want to see home and home vs. OSU, but I think MSU is a greater rival in basketballl for Michigan, even if Ohio is the overall evil empire in any matchup. Let's go to Columbus and kick their ass. It's always a greater feather getting the road win, anyway.

The team I want Michigan to really pump this year is Wisconsin. The Badgers have stolen two victories from Michigan, and Belien's crew needs to get after it against them.
