Man watching him in this game makes me think our D isnt as bad as I thought it was. Ok maybe not. But seriously he looks really good against a great D in OSU. I just assumed we madee him look filthy good, but he looks really good tonight. Makes me feel better about that loss
How about the penn state D? holding OSU to 3 points in the first half isnt easy. It almost gives me hope...
The only thing TP seems to have on McGloin is running ability. Other than that, McGloin seems to have more command over his offense. I like this McGloin.
I think it would be safe to say that McGloin is a better passer than TP.
Youre really going out on a limb here with this statement
I like living dangerously
he's way better than Nick Sheridan. I think the PSU OL improvement has been just as important.
at QB, Penn State is a darn good team.
Cant wait for the MSU game now
Yep. As soon as I finished reading this thread, he throws a pick 6.
OSU has this game now.
So much for that.
Oh how I hate the truck drivers
Did not read Torrence as the flat defender. Cover 2 ≠ Cover 3.
...Also, are all Big Ten teams required by law to play Seven Nation Army?
Who should I want to win this game? Given the Iowa loss, if OSU loses then MSU is in the drivers seat for the Big Ten title.
It is not possible to root for OSU
My thinking exactly. Rick-Six has now become Mc-Six.
McGROINED!!! Btw, did anyone hear/see Desmond call him McLovin at least twice? Love it!
I did see that and I loved it. By the way, who was that "celebrity" picker today? I caught the very end of the picks with no sound at the bar.
remember his name, but he was this huge bodybuilder guy that drug an airplane. He also bragged about crushing a Michigan helmet for the osu crowd. LAME!
Oh, okay. I think they showed him right before I was leaving for the bar. No surprise they can't get any real celebrities when they're in Columbus.
Now, if he had crushed the helmet on set I would have to admit that was pretty cool.
but I think the helmet he crushed was paper mache.
I take full responsibility for this debacle of 2nd half. I just jinxed the hell out of him.
As long as you're gonna own it.
Just realized that he's still a walk-on, apparently (albeit 2 weeks too late, IMO). womp!
but OSU decided to start blitzing the crap out of the young ginger kid. The result is hasty decisions and turnovers. By contrast, Gerg decided Michigan would "drop back and not cover". McGloin should have been on his back all night.
Our three-man rush and blitz every leap-year philosophy only further exposes our weak secondary. Yes we are young there...exactly why we need to adapt and get more pressure.
Pretty good quarterbacks don't wilt when you blitz.
were off play action that worked because we couldn't hold up against that OL. that and we went with a lot of Cover 3, which he no doubt saw a ton of in HS.
Our D is bad !!!! MCpicsix
... and that's why you wait for the whole game to play out. 5.3 ypa is worse than '08 Threet, against better competition, but still. Can the McGloin rehabilitation campaign stop now, please? It's a losing battle and it forces me to think of that terrible day. It's time to let it go.
McGloin did ok in the first half, they were talking him up big. And in the second half he cam back down to earth, gave the ball away a couple times. But yeah, I think he will be decent.
