MBB From the future: Derrick Walton Scrimmage Highlights
Trey Burke makes the game look easy. Unfortunately, it's likely that this is the last year we have pleasure of watching him in the maize and blue. Luckily, there's another PG in the pipeline that makes things look easy. Derrick Walton, 2013 PG out of Chandler Park HS in Detroit: http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=uz91CTS4YBw

Michigan missed on Yogi Ferrel last year but has a very similar player in DWJR coming in next season.
Yogi Ferrel but with a better J, and from the D. Coach B how could you?

I think Ferrell's probably got a slight edge in quickness, but Walton's jumper is clearly better. Both will be outstanding college point guards. You can't teach the passing ability and court saavy that Walton displays.

Ferrell had one incredible play against Carolina where he drove baseline on the right side of the court, jumped way out of bounds and threw an underhand pass to a wide open shooter in the left corner. You can't teach athleticism like that.

We're currently 11th and Sparty is nowhere to be found. I know ESPN gets criticized for their recruiting analysis, but still I'm impressed that there's so much distance between us and them.

If they get him, that recruiting gap essentially disappears.
