On Maize-outs, Block M's, and other stadium ideas
So it looks like people are fairly split about the block M and the maize-out. My question is what better idea(s) do you guys have?
I've heard going back to all blue with a Maize block M. Sticking with the Maize-out.
What about having Maize and Blue sections where you have to wear that color so it alternates around the stadium? Alternating weeks of Maize and Blue? Handing out yellow pom-poms or towels to wave around (PSU does this)? Doing the sign in the seat thing where it spells something when you raise it up?
All I know is that the Maize-out will fail miserably once it gets cold.

I thought it looked ok. Surprised and pleased that it was actually pretty well-defined, but the fact that it was on a curve made it look like it narrowed at the bottom.
Also, based on what I saw on TV, the shirt said something like, "I was part of the blue Block M".

I was impressed by the Block M and my hats off to the students. What they should try next time is what Penn State does, White Out with a White S in the middle of Blue background. As many of us are biased towards the Maize Block M anyway, why not try it that way, block out a section of blue shirts around the M, which will create the Maize M in the middle of a block of Blue. I know it would require more blue shirts being distributed but AT&T seemed to foot the bill this week, so...
Also, when plannning it for next time, they need to account for the curvature of the stadium in that corner, and make the converging tips of the M a little bit closer together. But for a first time in goodness knows how long, great effort, solid execution.
