Magee interviews with USF.
Holtz is not a shoe-in. Should we hold our breaths a little longer?

Old news.

Anything can happen. I would think that Magee has a fairly good shot of getting this job.

Yeah, old news. Word is that USF wants someone with head coaching experience. I'm not worried either way.

The NCAA has a bit of an unofficial Rooney rule. I figure USF is using Magee as their token minority, they really appear to want someone with HC exprience.

I would have to agree here. I think USF wants and likely needs someone with HC experience. While I love Magee and think he could/will be a good HC down the road. I don't think he'll get his first gig at USF this year. I hope. Ultimately, I think this goes to someone like Skip Holtz, with decent to good results at a mid-major school looking to make the jump to the BCS conferences.

I hope I can get my shoe into this coaching search.

I don't see the USF Head Football Coach job posting on USF's site so either it was never posted or they have already decided on their hire. Threw my hat into the ring during '07 when Michigan posted a job opening for the Head Football coach position. Still saddended by not getting an interview, but 100% in for Coach Rod now.
