M Alumni Club of DC Silent Auction

The University of Michigan Alumni Club of DC is in the midst of its annual Silent Auction. All proceeds benefit our scholarship fund, which provides more than $40,000 in scholarships annually to need-based students in the Washington, DC metro area who attend Michigan. I encourage everyone to take a look at the items here, There's a lot of great stuff this year including a Harbaugh-signed football, Beilein-signed basketball and other Michigan swag.

The auction ends this Thursday night when our Annual Meeting ends (around 8:30pm), so make sure you get bids in soon. Go Blue!

100,514 MGoPoints are up for sale, and the current highest bid is $10. After this auction, we can FINALLY put a number on the USD/MGoPoint exchange rate. Bid it up, it'd be quite disappointing (and probably life altering for WD) if that number turns out to be 1/100th of one cent per point.

It'd be disappointing for all of us if the true value is that low, but WD potenitally stands the most to lose in this auction. Liquidity risk is definitely a concern in this market though.

A chance to restore my MGo point total to a positive (for a small nominal fee of course)?

Although I would love to bid my way out of MGoPurgatory, I will continue to scratch and claw my way back to relevancy. And I will do so with an enthusiasm unknown to mankind. Plus my wife would destroy me if I blew $50-100 on these points.
