M 2nd in Final Fall Director's Cup standings

This is a couple weeks old and I'm ashamed that I missed it.  It's all I have!

Michigan is currently in 2nd place (i.e. 1st place non-Stanford division) after the final Fall standings were released.  That's a very strong Fall for us; we're rarely that high at this point.  Should bode well.  Other notables:

1. Stanford (obviously)

2. Michigan

4. Wisconsin

7. Penn State

9. Notre Dame

aaaaaand...

54. Michigan State

and with our men's basketball and hockey programs firing on all cylinders we should be able to do even better in winter/spring!

joking aside this is a great accomplishment (Stanford be damned) and a great testament to the hard work and success UM student athletes consistently bring.

M usually has a strong Fall, not always 2nd but usually top 5. Winter usually very solid but not as strong b/c one of the the M & W hoops teams underperform and hockey has recently.

Spring has been especially strong with baseball coming on recently and softball of course. Be nice is the lax team could make the NCAAs
