we really need to get some defensive tackles in this class. After next season we will be pretty thin at the DT, but i do think the coaches think Chris Rock might be moved to DT from DE.

"What I really don't understand is why people are calling for RR's head."

Happy to explain.

RR loses.

RR loses to rivals (0-6 v MSU and OSU)  Big losses. Big Michigan is not even competitive losses.

Michigan slips into a bowl this year only by barely coming out on top of a couple of turkey shoots (e.g., Indiana) and a coin flip (e.g., Illinois)

RR ended tradition of excellence (38 top 25 rankings at season end  out of the 40 years before RR. None since.)

Michigan returning to said tradition of excellence nowhere in sight. (Not the offense. Please. Yards are not points are not wins. 7 points versus OSU is not progress.)

RR is one injured Denard away from another 3-9 debacle.

RR ignores/neglects defense.

Ditto special teams.

That should help you understand.

Yes, Pitt has some decent recruits who are fit for poaching.  Miami and Florida also have pretty darn good recruiting classes, and are going through a transition.

Hell, since we run such a similar offense to Florida (RR taught much of it to Meyer), we would be in prime position to nab their offensive recruits.

If only our AD wasn't killing any chance that we have at recruiting by failing to endorse his coach or make a move.

Too bad.  I don't think we were in on many Pitt recruits.  Most of the east coast recruits we were targeting appeared to be interested in either Penn State, Maryland or WV.  I know JoePa's alzheimer's is making it easier to poach some east coasties but I think those that sign up for Penn State intend to go there whether JoePa is dead or alive (or just resting).

What about Miss State recruits?  With uncertainty now in their coaching situation maybe we can take advantage of that.
