Lacrosse Beats Air Force, 14-9, moves to 4-2
Lacrosse takes on the Falcons of Air Force at home tonight at 7 PM at the new facility. I'm not in Ann Arbor but I bet the weather is typical lousy Smarch weather but go down and check it out and root em on.
This is a big game for Michigan. Air Force has been good in recent years but is struggling early so far this season. They're 1-4 and dropped a game to lowly Cleveland State two weeks ago. At the beginning of the year, this game fell squarely in the toss-up/lean-Air Force category but this is game Michigan can win now. This is a great opportunity for Michigan to pick up a good win.
Marquette next week is also very gettable now as well. These are big games for Michigan's young season and if they take care of business they could be 5-2 heading into a matchup with Notre Dame on March 21.
Update: Michigan overcame an early 3-0 lead last night to take down Air Force. Freshman attackman Kevin Mack had 3 goals and 2 assists and Chase Young (!) added 3 and 1 of his own. Good victory for this team. They have a chance to get another good win next week against a vulnerable Marquette team. GO BLUE!
This would also be their first win over Air Force, too. Go Blue!
You can follow the game via:
A mom of one of the player's said it should be an easy win since their team is all freshman and sophmores due to sanctions.
Hazing, bullying, abusive sexual contact, drug use lead to multiple seniors and juniors and their head coach being suspended indefinetly. They all should just talk to their mothers.

Go Falcons!!!!! :-)
#1 Albany at #2 Maryland tomorrow at noon. Your kids will love watching Albany play lacrosse--their offense is fast-paced and incredibly creative. Not Michigan, but it will be a great game.

YES. 100%. ALbany and Maryland should be a great game and some good watchin'. Albany is usually really fun to watch and they have some unusual characters on the team. They also have the #1 recruit in the country - a Native American kid named Tahoka Nanticoke who dismantled Syracuse in his first college game. Enjoy! (also - glad to see your kids are playing and you're a fan now!)
I'm going to miss it though cuz I have to go to a stupid brunch thing. BOOOOOO Brunch.
5-5 at halftime. Air Force started the game on a three goal run and Michigan ended the half on a three goal run.
8-8 going into the 4th quarter.
So far Michigan has outshot Air Force, 27-19. Now a few more of those shots just need to go in.
Goals by Noseworthy and Curran put Michigan up, 10-8, with 12 minutes left
Kevin Mack makes it 11-9 Michigan with 4:37 left
With 1:37 left, Michigan is up 13-9
Final score: Michigan 14, Air Force 9.
Michigan improves to 4-2 on the season.
Should be a good one next Saturday when Marquette comes to town.
