KNOWLEDGE Voracity

Just so we're all clear on the KNOWLEDGE here: No one knows whether he is serious or joking. He is both and he is none. He was around during Mgoblog 2.0 and Haloscan so for those of you who weren't you need to realize that we old timers enjoy his stuff. We don't care if he's right or wrong because it is always funny. But please, just relax about what he posts and know that in due time we will all find out if he is correct. If I had to take a guess I would say that he is joking 90% of the time but the 10% that he is serious makes you wonder if he is really in "the know" Please folks, just pay homage to the KNOWLEDGE and wait to hear about the DC from Brian.

Well, as Brian said he associates the blog with false information thus hurting Brian, and the blogs popularity. Plus, he's vague and annoying. They both are. Him and THE KNOWLEDGEperiod.

No, it is pretty clearly a joke. Anyone suggesting Michigan is going to hire Dick Lebeau is pretty obviously not serious and if you think he is you're probably not that bright.

I know for a fact that THE KNOWLEDGE is a janitor at Schembechler Hall. He roots through the trash and finds top secret exchanges between high level UM operatives and reports on it to us. He also thinks he's a Macy's Thanksgiving Day parade balloon.

The problem is that if you're not in on the joke it just looks like a nut posting "inside info" and when that inside info doesn't pan out people associate the blog with incorrect information. I've seen people take his posts to premium mods and ask if there's any voracity there.

It says more about the posters who go scurrying elsewhere for confirmation, IMO. I don't see how he hurts the blog anymore than posters with Calvin pissing on Buckeyes copyright/trademark violations, or idiots who post idiotic idiocy of the more garden-variety sort.

Well obviously, those posters who are taking it seriously and looking for further confirmation should not be. But those are the posters who know much less. The point is that it hurts the blog... I guess I'm just annoyed at the stir THE KNOWLEDGE causes. Every time he posts there are several threads like these that come out and that annoys me and others like me. That is all.
