Kinda OT: The end to my college football game saturday (w/ video)
Saturday was the single greatest sports day of my life. My football team is the Wheaton College Thunder, and we are currently the number 4 team in the country. This Saturday was our first game. Much in Michigan fashion, we got the ball down three with about 2 minutes left. Much like Michigan, our defense HAD to force a quick punt or the game was over. They did this. So, in typical Tate fashion, our quarterback marched us down to their 5 yard line with ten seconds left. Down three, clock is ticking, one shot to win...you can see what happened below (I'm #71)

It is known simply as "The Catch." Now, I realize this may not be very exciting for impartial observers, but this, coupled with the late Michigan win that I was able to rush home and catch, made Saturday the greatest sports day of my life.
The only bad thing of the day: When Matthews caught that pass, I jumped up to celebrate, and both my calves subsequently cramped up. Nothing was wiping that smile off my face though

Wow, thats cool as hell. Congrats on the win and good luck on the rest of the season. I'll be paying attention to your team now! What made this video even better is the other team looked like Notre Dame!!!! :)

Do you play on the Thunder, or are you a fan? Either way, that's one awesome sports day.

That play was a lot like the Montana to Dwight Clark pass-catch. That's awesome. Thanks for sharing.

Congratulations on the win. Is Bethel a big rival?

They are very good and another prestigious Christian university. Last year was our first time playing (they aren't in our conference) but I would certainly say that the rivalry is developing.

...for the Flying Dutchmen on the 26th!* We owe you one....or 6 or so. I think the last time we beat you was in 2001. I was a senior and we had a really close game at your place. Good luck the rest of the season and stay healthy!
*This of course is meant to be fun.

hell of a hurdle by that pass rusher there... good thing your quarterback got it off in time.
