Likely made a hire without posting the job or interviewing enough or the right kind of candidates and broke a Univ. of Georgia rule that's probably backed by state law.
Scandal, seems like a strong word.

The State of Georgia has a law like that?

Given the genericy (is that a word?) and unknowns, there are laws like that - companies post 'public job listings' to fulfill hiring requirements for H1B holders, for example (Federal law example of course).
Not saying that's what happened here, but generally there are laws that govern hiring practices.

It's a public school. Many states make publicly funded entities post all job openings to the public, it's a smart rule.
It also allowed me to apply to be NC State's offensive coordinator several years ago, citing my madden and NCAA experience. Shockingly no response :/

Not a coach...not a player.
What does this have to do with a game that occurs 10 days from now?

You never know. Investigations can be highly contagious.

I have a confession to make: When I was Director of Player Development at OSU under Meyer, I was required to provide a cooler to the family of every prospective recruit. I just had to wipe the slate clean. Did I 'doo anything that smells wrong?
