I'm just amazed he is still playing on a playoff team at 36. He has had one of the craziest careers in recent memory - overpaid too early, but undeniably a solid player for over a decade. without that massive contract, he would probably be remembered as one of the better players of the mid to late 90s.

he's been forced to evolve a little bit into a center, because the Blazers have lost pretty much every center they have to injury, so he's the big man in a sometimes-4-guard lineup. It's not like he's been spectacular but I think the folks here in Portland have been pleasantly surprised by what he's given them, and he's still an important piece for a team that was recently forced to sign Shavlik Randolph (yuck) for depth at the big positions.

The blazers are also dealing with a hurt Roy (shoulder) Blake (hospitalized with pneumonia) and have been given at least 2 injury roster exceptions this season and they continue to win (with last night being the exception). Howard has been huge this fall!

I'm shocked he can actually still touch the rim. Love the Fab Five, but I watched a lot of Juwan while he was starting for Houston. During that time, he was awful. Had no idea he was still in the league.
