Not surprised Manny's not coming back, didn't exactly see eye to eye with coach B.

Oakland Golden Grizzlies, 2nd best college hoops team in the state. Although they're likely to get beat by Pitt probably by double digits.
Baylor is a good choice like others have mentioned.

Yeah, the Cavs have to be the favorites in the East, I really don't see anybody besides Orlando even giving them a real competitive series. Hickson's emergence this season has been nice and even forgotten Tar Heel Jawad Williams has given them another shooter off the pine.
Rumors have it that Troy Murphy will be the newest addition, have to say that would be a mistake.
Doubt it could work but landing Camby would send the Cavs over the edge. Cavs would likely have to part with Hickson, something they hopefully won't even contemplate.

Obvious, but, must be stated problem...
Both Stu and Zack are playing out of position.
Stu was comfortable last season as a wing player.
And with Zack, well, he had to play out of position last season too, however Michigan had quicker guards who harrassed offenses more, so it wasn't quite as obvious that Novak was OOP.
Of course, that doesn't explain why Novak can't shoot anymore...

And remember, the Northern Mich win doesn't count in the win total the NCAA takes into account, so really Mich has just 10 wins right now. NCAA only looks at DI wins.

I say play the young'uns and move Prince at least (Rip might be too hard)...making the playoffs would not be positive for a team such as the Stones since they're going nowhere anyways.
John Wall sweepstakes!!
Even Aminu and Favors are VERY intriguing.

Way outside the box here, but Blake McLimans.
Yeah I know he's a "project", but from all accounts the 'potential' (way over used word) is there and if he pans out he will be perfect for Beilein's system. I'm imagining him turning out like a Hummell type player, just taller and maybe not as clean cut. Heck, Smotrycz will likely be better than Blake right away, but it'd be terrific for both to produce a lot.
I can see Novak being the next Kramer type tough team guy where the announcers and media just slobber on him nonstop, and of course, it's mostly deserved.
Of course Morris is the obvious choice because he is the point guard and has all the tools to be very, very good.

I'm a little worried about freshman Ryan Evans, the kid has looked good every time I've watched Wiscy (maybe 4 times).

Michigan's capable of beating almost any team in the country at Crisler, save for probably Kentucky and Texas and that's about it.
If you're a true fan you'll come out and support them.

Udoh would of course make this team twice as good.
As for Grady...
he would definitely get playing time just because he's as quick as hell and can break presses just with his quickness alone. Plus it's not like he's a poor shooter or anything either.
With Grady on the team Douglass wouldn't likely be forced to play point guard, which would be a good thing since Douglass is a shooting guard through and through.

Indiana is on the right path with all of their talented freshmen and sophomores, not to mention probably one of the best coaches and motivators in hoops, Tom Crean.
The Indy loss still hurts and could end up haunting this team, but teams have to be aware that there's no easy games on the road in the BT, well, except maybe for this year's Iowa team.

Watching highlights of Jordan-- he reminds me of Anthony Wright. Similar body type, more of a set shooter kinda player. Hopefully he'll be more of a consistent shooter than Wright has been.
And he won't be on scholly, so he's already got that on Anthony.

Game was sweet. Favorite moment was the Vogrich sequence in second half right before he was substituted for... really got the crowd in a frenzy. Teammates gave him a lot of love as well.
Hopefully Beilein can find a few more minutes for him, as I think all the minutes Novak and Douglass are playing might be catching up to them late in games.
Vogrich was draining deep threes prior to the game like they were five footers. Eventually this season he's going to go off and win a game or two for Michigan.

Amazing what a W can do.
Manny and DeShawn had to be the two best players on the court today for the Wolvies to win, and that they certainly were.
|6 years 5 weeks ago||Vogrich played a sensational||
Vogrich played a sensational two+ minutes. Was verrry disappointed when Beilein pulled him out right after he had that sequence where he got 2 offensive boards and that put back-- it really pumped up Crisler.
Great effort all around.
|6 years 5 weeks ago||umm, the team two years ago||
umm, the team two years ago was far and away the worst in the past decade or so.
I have faith they will turn it around and win anywhere from 8-10 league games. That would be a respectable turn around and with the talent on this roster it's not too much to ask. Just need a break out game and today would be the perfect opportunity.

Couldn't agree more.
It could be extremely ugly next season... who's going to start in the frontcourt? Morgan, Evan S., Blake? Not intriguing.
|6 years 5 weeks ago||To me Manny Harris has all||
To me Manny Harris has all the potential in the world to have a 10+ year career in the NBA, key word being 'potential'. Potential in my mind means you haven't done anything yet, but 'something' is there, you just have to bring it out.
Manny's game translates better to the NBA style. Beilein's offense doesn't necessarily fit Manny's game and I really believe if Manny had better players around him he'd be even more of an impressive collegiate.
Great wiry body (he does need to improve his strength),
Best case scenerio for Manny is Jamal Crawford. Manny definitely has a way to go in terms of explosiveness and ball handling ability (and will never be as athletic as Crawford)but there's no reason Manny can't drastically improve his outside shot just like Crawford did in a short amount of time.
Worst case scenerio is Maurice Ager/Tarence Kinsey type of players, fringe NBA players (currently not in the league) who don't really excel at one specific thing but have just enough skill to hang around

A win against OSU on Sunday and there will be hope again.
Silver lining in all of this is at least Novak and Stu are getting their strokes back. Unfortunately the rest of the team largely didn't show up sans a few nice plays from Morris.
