So many of us shamed him for leaving too early. Dude knew what he was doing.

He could have left too early and still found a perfect spot in the NBA. Both statements can be true.

I don't know about that, a little revisionist history. Most of us were saying he needed another year at UM, which maybe not be totally accurate, but he definitely needed another year. I live in the bay area, his rookie year was not good, he was sent to the G league. His second year was a lot better, especially at the end of the season. And now he's doing great. But the people that said he wasn't ready for the NBA were right. However, you're better off going to the NBA to get that prep because you'll be focused only on basketball. In that sense, it was a good decision.

Plus he hits that fat free agent contract two years earlier. That alone makes it a financially wise decision.

I don't think Curry needed to teach him how to make a long buzzer-beater.

Of course. Poole splashes it!

The holding the arm up after release made it that much better

Was randomly watching live...I yelled "nice" for some reasons because the parabola aspect of the shot was so great...and then the damn thing banked in. Was really a sweet yet truly textbook shot.

You and Kenny Mayne love when dudes be launching parabolas

Poole went to the perfect team for him. Golden State is so fun to watch right now, it’s a total spectacle. Total team basketball, no one is selfish, the passing and pace is incredible. Poole allows them to bring Klay Thompson back slowly. They’re 16-2 and Poole is a huge part of that.

In semi-related news, Franz Wagner is having a great start to his rookie year. The Magic is struggling and they have a starting lineup whose average age makes them younger than some college teams, but Franz has been very good—hitting 3’s, dropping dimes, and dunking on dudes.

I was gonna put up a post the other night when Poole went for 30+ (for 2d night in a row) and Steph had “only” 12. I decided against it because it didnt seem … newsworthy. And I thought, how crazy is that concept? So awesome.
Warriors were appointment TV before they got KD They are again, there are few teams in pro sports — any sport — quite as much fun to watch on a nightly basis. Maybe only Showtime and then Michael & Bulls were NBA teams comparable to the multiyear entertainment of this team. And Poole is a big part, including his sweet passing he displays. When Klay gets back, this team will be in criminal violation of felonious assualt on defenses.
