Jordan Kovacs moved up to 53-man roster
Don't know how this was missed! But on Saturday, Kovacs was moved from the practice squad to the 53-man roster for last Sunday's game.
He is only playing special teams at the moment, but I hope someday this season he can actually see time as a Safety.
According to Maize N Brew's Ex-Wolverines in the NFL, Kovacs recorded his first career NFL tackle on kickoff coverage.

In other UM Alum news, Braylon Edwards is up to no good

Why do you have to be a Debbie Downer like that?

We really ought to give that money back.
Between the inability to issue the jersey and Braylon's bad behavior, the AD really ought to think about saying "thanks, but no thanks" and giving the $500k back.

Boy would THAT go against every grain in DB's body.

He'll find a way to get it back from me and you.

I kind of hope that players who wear the #1 from here on out don't turn out like Mr. Edwards.

I think it might have been mentioned in passing in a thread over the weekend, but thanks for bringing it to everyone's attention in this fashion. It really is nice to see Kovacs getting to the 53-man roster even if just on special teams right now - his work ethic from his days at Michigan has definitely followed him down to Miami and, like it did here, it is paying dividends.

Was there ever any doubt?

Incredible news

Never a doubt Kovacs would make it with his instincts and ntelligence. The guy is all football. Congrats to Demens as well who was poorly utilized for a good chunk of his time at Michigan.
Final Note to Braylon, self, and others: Nothing good ever comes from a grown man throwing himself a birthday bash.

I hope that he sticks around in NFL and someday someone makes a movie of him.

Funny when I think back a few years at how disgusted I was with UM's defensive performance and this was only magnified by the fact that they were going to start a walk-on at safety that wasn't recruited by anybody out of high school. I quickly became a big fan of his and glad to hear that he is officially playing in the NFL. Way to go Jordan.

Thanks for the update. Nice to see him making it in the NFL.
