Joey Velazquez highlights from last week
Looks like he caused three fumbles with violent hits and undoubtedly left many bruises on his opponents. Viper is an excellent name for the way this kid plays the game.

Nice highlights, but I saw 2 forced fumbles, not 3.

Yeah, I think the third "fumble" the OP mentioned was an option pitch. It was a nice hit by Velazquez, though.

That didn’t look like the greatest competition...

It is Columbus OH so the competition shouldn't be that bad. Either way, he looked like a P5 prospect is supposed to look like against weaker competition.

Looks great defending the edge and brings the wood.
But damn is Dayton Dunbar low on bodies, that sideline was light.

I think that team should scrap the option for the rest of the season.

HA! That first play was awful.
I don't follow recruiting super closely, but that dude looks like the perfect Viper.

First comparison that cane to mind was a slightly lighter Desmond Morgan.

You ever watch a game of maybe 2 lower ranked teams and you see that 1 guy that is all over the field and you wonder how he slipped through the cracks of major programs. Michigan is plucking every single one of those guys away from the rest of the country. If Jim had been at Michigan when Khalid Mack was in high school, he would have been at Michigan instead of buffalo

It’s especially good that Michigan is getting those guys because they’re also the guys MSU/Iowa/Wisconsin build their programs on.

Wow! Amazing film. A stone else notice that he is pretty much lined up at LB. I know the viper position is a LB hybrid, but hasn’t Don Brown said that the Viper player must be a Safety in background? A player that can cover equally as much.
He seems like a guy that might grow into an OLB role instead of being able to stay at the size and athletic ability to be Viper.

Seems to be in the right place at the right time. This is important because although he's a hard hitter with a nose for the ball, I don't see the twitchy, lightning-fast disrupter our previous and current vipers have been described as... Which is ok because they're really fucking good.
