Jim Harbaugh Coach’s Cam
Can someone good at video sync this with game video? Maybe someone good at lip reading can chip in because you know other teams are already paying to have that done. Hopefully we never call some of those plays again anyways

That dude's under a lot of pressure.

Good lawd that's a ton of scrutiny. I wouldn't want a camera on my every move for 4 hours. Seesh.
September 8th, 2019 at 9:12 AM ^
yeah thats brutal. also that camera is just a really creepy idea
September 8th, 2019 at 9:19 AM ^
It is creepy, but Fox just wants a camera on him so they can cut in to video of him at any moment if he has a compelling reaction after a big play.
It may seem brutal, but he is an outspoken head coach and paid millions a year in part from the TV revenues that football generates.

This is what happens when you award college football broadcasting rights to the network that gave the world When Animals Attack!

Lots of the Urban Meyer squat in this game.

Any surrender cobras?
September 8th, 2019 at 1:40 AM ^
I'd unreservedly watch this with a dramatic voice actor reading his lips. Preferably with the gravitas of, say, a Patrick Stewart.
September 8th, 2019 at 1:41 AM ^
I like that the camera also catches Don Brown in the last downs of the 2nd overtime.
September 8th, 2019 at 1:51 AM ^
I can sync it with Dark Side of the Moon, if you'd like.

When you have been seen as an attention whore and behave a bit in that direction then under perform, it’s on you. Harbaugh is failing at Michigan. Anyone seeking to state otherwise is using blind allegiance. He is obviously neutering the offense, showing stubborn commitment to an old offensive philosophy and it isn’t working. The defense won yesterday and roughly 75% of all games he’s coached to victory at Michigan. That will lead to four losses this year, at least. That’s his fault if so. The fanbase and money givers should want and expect better. I don’t think we’ll see it.
September 8th, 2019 at 8:57 AM ^
ha, you just flamed the board and called someone else an attention whore.
September 8th, 2019 at 9:12 AM ^
I expected this response. It’s tough to hear but if you feel differently then explain. He is under the pressure he asked for by taking a high profile job that we all, me too, expected him to succeed at. He’s a very good coach. He isn’t great because of his philosophy and need for control. That’s his to own. If you’ve watched the first two games, games to try the “speed in space” and saw it, highlight where. Otherwise shut the hell up with your petty response.
September 8th, 2019 at 12:39 PM ^
MTSU game showed many flashes of the speed in space. What's stopping us from being a great team is ball handling and mental mistakes (false starts, offsides). I think (hope) these are fixable issues that can improve in these next two weeks. I also hope Shea isn't hurt too bad and can fix his throwing mechanics.
Don't forget we got a TD taken away from us in the Army game. That would have been a huge momentum swing and we probably take care of business in regulation.
September 8th, 2019 at 9:55 AM ^
Why should they expect better? He’s already at Lloyd/Bo level. This is much better than RR/Hoke. If you want Yost/Kipke/Crisler then you need to sell you soul to the devil and hire Urban/Saban/Carroll.
September 8th, 2019 at 10:16 AM ^
Kipke was really feast-or-famine - great stretch from 1930-33 followed by a rough last four years.
September 8th, 2019 at 10:20 AM ^
Kipke reference was more towards the corners he cut while here.
September 8th, 2019 at 11:44 AM ^
Goddamn, “Harbaugh, RR/Hoke, or some cheater” is a stupid fucking take. Kirk Ferentz could win 10 games with Michigan’s resources.
September 8th, 2019 at 12:24 PM ^
No difference between Harbaugh and Ferentz, so I'm not sure why you disagree.
September 8th, 2019 at 10:49 AM ^
If you call Harbaugh's record "failing" at Michigan, you have an abdsurdly high standard for passing. How can you even enjoy Michigan football if a guy who does what Harbaugh has is failing? I'm as disappointed in this year's offense as anyone, but I think it's silly to say Harbaugh is failing.
September 8th, 2019 at 3:23 PM ^
I suspect your expectations are the same as mine, at least. 50% or better against OSU, 75% win percentage versus the other rivals and a Big Ten Championship. With all criteria he is failing. If your standards are lower then we agree to have different perspectives.
And thank you for being a teacher. (No sarcasm)
September 8th, 2019 at 9:08 PM ^
Thanks, it's the best job for me, I love it.
And yes, I guess we can agree to disagree about the expectations. I'm more like 20% OSU and 50% rivals. Wasn't always, but with the NCAA abdicating its enforcement responsibilities, the playing field is far from level. It's amazing to me that we do as well as we do.
September 9th, 2019 at 6:34 AM ^
While I don’t completely disagree with you he’s not a failure. The guy can still coach but just can’t get away from the old Bo football way of thinking. The problem on Saturday, among many things, was we went old school out of a shotgun and no fullback. No way do I ever wanna see pep back here but last years O would have gotten at least 1 4th down conversion.

Besides being a little stalkerish, this isn't terribly interesting. "Watch football coach engage in football coaching for 3 hours 40 minutes."
The Stanford Orange Bowl thing (where he was mic'd up) was a lot more interesting.
September 8th, 2019 at 9:37 AM ^
He's clearly NOT calling plays on offense.
September 8th, 2019 at 9:46 AM ^
How is this even a thing? A coach cam for 4 hours is stupid.
September 8th, 2019 at 12:11 PM ^
Army's coach would very clearly say "2 downs" on 3rd and 5. As in, don't get crazy, just run it at 3 yards a play. Sometimes you don't need to pay to know what coach is saying.
September 8th, 2019 at 1:17 PM ^
But then he called a pass play on 3rd and goal and it got picked off. Thank you Army coach...
September 8th, 2019 at 12:12 PM ^
So it appears everyone whose claiming Harbaugh took control back was wrong. It was clearly Gattis calling the plays. He’s a first time play caller and these growing pains are to be expected.
