and is still recovering.  It can take a while.  That being said, get better Jake, the fins are going to need you next year.  You are one of the few bright spots on a long-disappointing team.

but the problem is that it's an injury that is very easy to reinjure. It can feel better, you think its ok, then pick up something a little to heavy (for my dad it was a coffee cup) and then you're back to square one.

I heard he was clapping his hands and he miscalculated how much force to put behind his left arm. His right bicep just couldn't handle it. Now we know there are drawbacks to being superhuman.

I met Jake and when I coached football with his brother, John. Jake is the most humble guy I have ever met. Im glad it wasnt a serious injury like a knee injury or something.

The guys in the Worlds Strongest Man tournaments tear biceps and they're typically back again the next year, of course none of them compete at Jake Longs level..

I'm not quite sure what you mean by that. Obviously, they don't compete at football at Jake Long's level, but what they do compete at is the highest level in the world and their sport requires far more biceps usage/strain than football. So, if a WSM competitor can return to full health in short order, so too can an NFL lineman. I tore my left biceps completely off the bone in 2008 (training for strongman) and was at full capacity at 6-8 months post-surgery and I obviously don't have the time or resources available for rehab that Jake Long has. He'll be just fine and with an awesome scar to boot.
