No quasi-information I'm afraid.
Quasi-nada.

Bill O'Brien to BAMA, as an assistant of course

Quick, someone check Twitter follows...

But now OP can't sleep.
He's Quasi-no-doze.
January 12th, 2021 at 12:40 PM ^
we really do have the dumbest fanbase in college sports
January 12th, 2021 at 12:55 PM ^
This made me laugh. Laugh really loud. Don't be mean, all fanbases are dumb, we are just really only exposed to our own. Our fanbase just isn't very patient.
January 12th, 2021 at 12:56 PM ^
I don't think you have any clue how dumb it gets in some places. I mean have you ever visited an OSU fan live chat during one of their games?
January 12th, 2021 at 1:00 PM ^
Correct, all fanbases can be dumb. Michigan is just in a relatively unique position that we have a ton of fans that are some of the dumbest smart people you'll ever meet.
January 12th, 2021 at 4:13 PM ^
This is so spot on - some classmates at Michigan who were reaaaaly smart had some just awful takes on football and really didnt understand the game, but a lot of fun to drink beer with pre-game.
January 12th, 2021 at 4:39 PM ^
Indeed, never confuse intelligence with wisdom.
January 13th, 2021 at 6:49 AM ^
That's why in D&D, they are separate stats. :)
January 12th, 2021 at 9:51 PM ^
I think some smart people just enjoy being dumb (irrational) when it comes to sports.
January 12th, 2021 at 1:05 PM ^
oh my. i pooped in a cooler just thinking about an osu live chat.
EDIT re; DTOW above - we also have some of the smartest dumb people (raises hand).
January 12th, 2021 at 1:42 PM ^
The smartest people make the dumbest people.
January 12th, 2021 at 3:09 PM ^
I think that people who have a formal education can sometimes overthink/over rationalize things. Western education emphasizes analytical thinking. Which is great! But knowing when to rely on intuition is also a very important life skill.
One of my favorite quotes of all time: "I never let my schooling interfere with my education" -Mark Twain
January 12th, 2021 at 5:48 PM ^
Love the quote!
Which is why I can’t wait for schools to open back up!!! My ten year old needs both!! Lol
And for the record, I am not saying one way or the other if I agree they’re not open, just saying kids get both at school.
January 12th, 2021 at 12:57 PM ^
Have you spent any time over at RCMB?
January 12th, 2021 at 12:59 PM ^
Dumbest, no.
Perhaps the most pathological, but not dumbest.
January 12th, 2021 at 1:00 PM ^
You need to check out the RCMB - those folks post between visits to county fairs and the Secretary of State's office.
This is like a Mensa convention in comparison...
January 12th, 2021 at 2:00 PM ^
To all that suggest visiting an OSU or MSU live chat, just further proves my point that we are the dumbest fanbase in college sports. You can't deflect our dumbness on another program, sorry.
January 12th, 2021 at 2:02 PM ^
We as a fan base can always be more dumberer
January 12th, 2021 at 2:16 PM ^
Great things come in twos... or something.
January 12th, 2021 at 7:56 PM ^
You mean like boobs and balls?
January 13th, 2021 at 4:07 PM ^
Well played! Yep.
January 12th, 2021 at 12:40 PM ^
Much like the HC, assistants are probably negotiating contracts and/or leveraging offers from elsewhere. Might also have to wait on word for defensive assistants til we have a DC.
January 12th, 2021 at 1:01 PM ^
I'm sure they're waiting until they officially announce the new DC. I don't see the Ravens beating the Bills, so I'd expect we get something official next week. I'd expect the DC has been evaluating current staff and hopefully he has free reign on decisions.
January 12th, 2021 at 7:39 PM ^
Bills fan here and I wish I had your confidence. I'm not all that trusting of our defense trying to slow down Lamar Jackson.
January 12th, 2021 at 3:27 PM ^
Sure, maybe, but OP needs his sweet, sweet press releases.
January 12th, 2021 at 12:46 PM ^
So far, according to what I've read (Mostly from Sam Webb),
On offense:
- Gattis is coming back
- Jay Harbaugh was offered a job by Jedd Fisch and turned it down, so it looks like he is coming back.
- Sam thinks Warinner and Moore have a good chance of being back, but he has not heard anything about their status yet.
- Ben McDaniels is gone
On defense:
- Sam has heard that Jean Mary is coming back. He was apparently dispatched to smooth things over with Junior Colson.
- Shoop is likely gone
- No word on Zordich or Nua
January 12th, 2021 at 12:50 PM ^
Was Shoop ever really here?
January 12th, 2021 at 12:54 PM ^
No, can't even slam the door on him.
January 12th, 2021 at 1:00 PM ^
No kidding. If you don't replace a guy that didn't show up for work this year (regardless of the reasons), then there is no hope going forward. A knowledgable professional better be showing up to coach Dax Hill this year, or else...
Anyone think we'll actually hear what the hell happened with the Shoop situation? Unless it is already common knowledge and I'm an idiot.
January 12th, 2021 at 1:02 PM ^
I read that he had different opinions than Don Brown
January 12th, 2021 at 1:36 PM ^
What? Brown wanted him to come into work, and he didn’t want to?
January 12th, 2021 at 2:16 PM ^
Then why hire the guy? If he doesn't mesh with your philosophy, then don't hire him. And on the flip side, if he agreed to do the job knowing this then you sure as hell better be a good assistant and teach it the way Don draws it up.
January 12th, 2021 at 2:19 PM ^
Not saying you’re wrong because I don’t know.
Shoop and Brown not getting along would be a surprise as Brown was a mentor to Shoop and they’ve been coaching on and off together for 30 years.

I guess no Nuas is good Nuas.

January 12th, 2021 at 12:59 PM ^
I liked it, but my dad jokes are just as bad.
January 12th, 2021 at 12:58 PM ^
Jean Mary is kind of puzzling. The LB's definitely took a step back, and I'm not sure if he was responsible for any recruit we got this year. Unless he had a hand with the Florida LB's.
January 12th, 2021 at 1:05 PM ^
Jean Mary is a top recruiter and his territory is Florida. He has already made big steps in the state and with a DC with 0 recruiting experience, he will be needed.
January 12th, 2021 at 1:30 PM ^
He recruited Jaydon Hood, and you can't really blame Jean-Mary for Brandon Jennings flipping since the flip was about Harbaugh's situation. If Harbaugh's deal had been done earlier, Jennings would have signed with Michigan.
January 12th, 2021 at 1:40 PM ^
I would personally hold off judgment on Jean Mary's coaching ability at this point. He was hired in January and there was no spring practice, so any changes in terminology, technique, etc. he wanted to implement had to be done with an odd schedule. Also, weren't half of the linebackers Don Brown's direct responsibility? There could have been some communication issues between the two of them.
January 12th, 2021 at 1:04 PM ^
Shoop and Nua should be gone. How many assistants can we have?
January 12th, 2021 at 1:17 PM ^
Sounds like Nua is coming back. Zordich is going to have to interview for his job position.
January 12th, 2021 at 2:08 PM ^
Zordich remains to be seen. Doubtful he returns.
January 12th, 2021 at 3:14 PM ^
How though? I've been told Jay is awful and only a coahc cause of family
January 12th, 2021 at 5:53 PM ^
Where did you hear that? Folks seem to have a favorable impression of Jay here.
January 12th, 2021 at 12:46 PM ^
Kwazii will be activating the coaches report momentarily.

Coaching Report! Coaching Report!
glad they are done with their mission. Octonaughts at ease
