Bo and Knight
I didn't realize they knew each other that far back. Was it some sort of Ohio (OSU for Knight, Miami for Bo) thing?

Bo was an assistant coach for Woody Hayes at OSU (1958-1963) when Knight was on the OSU basketball team (1959-1962).

Years ago I had the
Years ago I had the opportunity to have breakfast with Bo and Shemy (sp?) along with George Lilja at a Fellowship of Christian Athletes event here in Northern Ohio. The four of us sat at a small table and I got to hear Bo tell that story first-hand, up close and personal.
Can you just imagine how different the Big Ten would've looked with both Bo and Bobby in Madison for the 70's and beyond? Wow.
Ugh.
We might have been stuck with BB, Hayden's offspring.
Bo and Lloyd
That's interesting. I never knew that.
It should also be noted that Wisconsin offered Lloyd Carr the head coaching job in 1989 before they offered Barry Alvarez. Lloyd thought about it but in the end, decided he didn't want to leave Michigan. Good man.
