I dont feel so bad

Usually, when Michigan loses a game, i go into a shell and my whole week is ruined. For some reason, it hasn't bothered me as much this year. With the ND game, if you take away the 1st quarter play and the turnovers when we were marching to get within one score, the play is getting better on offense.

McGuffie is a beast and will do great things to come. I was also not ashamed of the play of Threet. He didn't zip the ball 8 yrds over the head of a wide open reciever this week. He looked sharper and I was glad to see him take off and sneak it a few times for good gainers. If you're going to run the spread, the QB has to be a threat to run or you can just sit back in man with 2 safety's over the top and call it a day on defense.

I've come to the revelation not to expect too much this year and get these freshman some game experience. The Big10 is down, there's no denying that, but like RR said, Michigan will be back. I'm not so much looking for the win this year as i am looking to see the play get tighter and tighter each week. So far, that seems to be happening.

I was also glad to see Threet play the majority of the game, that switching QB thing bothers the hell out of me. Plus Sheridan is no threat to take off and run for 12 yrds. I am however, not too happy with our RB's like Grady & Brown. The were pretty highly recruited, but i hold my breath everytime they touch the ball. I feel good about the things to come.

Still though.....Weis is a fat pig, Clausen looks like a 10 yr old girl and OSU got prison raped by USC.....our time will come.

agree BigHouse - I was at Utah game and thought the team looked much more gelled yesterday in game 3.  count me now firmly in the "we will struggle this year but improve every week" camp - no more delusional thoughts about glory this year.  and lost a bet with my CFO so have to wear a ND jersey at work all day Monday - ugh.

schedule - we should beat Toledo, Purdue, Minny, NW.  That gets us 5 wins.  Sparty & PSU are in similar payback mode that ND was in yesterday and can't see us overcoming that this year so we prolly lose both those games.  So we need to win 2 out of three between Wisky, Illini, OSU in order to get to 7 wins and the Insight Bowl that ESPN is predicting.  that's a fairly good stretch goal for this team this year methinks.

hope RR usses his bye week productively and we come out strong and snatch 3 in a row here at home.   Go Blue!

Threet had some great throws yesterday. that one to Mathews in the endzone was beautiful, and a great grab by Mathews. should have been a TD.

compared to the first two game, the offense looked great. McGuffie is a fucking pimp.

D-line and defense as a whole was a little disapointing.

The only thing that kept me from falling on my sword yesterday is that besides the turnovers(which I know are horrible), UM looked good. I wasn't scared when Threet had the ball, and the McGuffie hype is coming to fruition. I just hope that it wasn't ND being that horrible.
