You sir are a thread creation machine.
Impressive.
December 1st, 2021 at 8:52 PM ^
It's his creatures.
December 1st, 2021 at 9:41 PM ^
I remember when he said it was hard to stay here. He is a machine. Has anyone seen WD?
December 1st, 2021 at 9:58 PM ^
whatever a WD is it's not me.
December 1st, 2021 at 11:03 PM ^
Sounds like something WD would say..

What kind of backlash would UM get for winning with THE ONLY two defensive players.
Oh, the backlash! There would be a lot of backlash.
December 1st, 2021 at 9:01 PM ^
Don't forget Peppers was a finalist as well. Three defensive Heisman finalists at one school is nuts.
December 1st, 2021 at 10:02 PM ^
His wildcats and punt returns were probably a big factor in that. Charles Woodson had punt returns and play on offense too.
Hutch is straight up defense.
December 1st, 2021 at 9:17 PM ^
Is there a backlash against Bama for having its offensive players win regularly?
December 2nd, 2021 at 9:55 AM ^
If we have a decent lead and have the ball near the goal line, we should pull a Refrigerator Perry and hand Hutch the ball.
December 1st, 2021 at 8:51 PM ^
Aidan has one more opportunity to wow the committee. I don't think he'll win, but he could move up in the rankings.
December 1st, 2021 at 8:58 PM ^
I'm sure he'll have a good game but stats for DE's can be fickle things - while rampant against Maryland for example, Hutch didn't have any sacks. Just getting on everyone's radar so they watch is probably a win though - maybe he'll be the first player to basically win the Heisman because of PFF ratings.
December 1st, 2021 at 9:01 PM ^
I disagree. M has all the buzz. Hutch was on National TV doing what he does. Hutch >>> CJ and the nation saw it. He has one more game to impress the voters.
I am sure Dez and Chuck will be pushing hard for Hutch to win.
December 1st, 2021 at 9:53 PM ^
I could actually see Herbstreit adding to some of that buzz as well.
December 1st, 2021 at 10:13 PM ^
He has been adding to it.
It would be really cool if a defender won it, a straight up defender, with no special teams or play on offense.
December 2nd, 2021 at 12:58 AM ^
One of the many reasons they hate us is because of M influence in the media, especially sports media. Hutch has a very real chance at the Heisman with 2+ sacks and a Bama loss
December 1st, 2021 at 8:58 PM ^
Boy, other teams fans sure are salty over Hutchinson being nominated. I get they want their own teams players, but come on, watch the tape. Hutch is unstoppable and relentless.
December 1st, 2021 at 9:06 PM ^
They can be as salty as they want.
Any of their defensive players ranked #1 by PFF as the best player in the draft? If so, they have a valid complaint being left out
If not, STFU.
December 1st, 2021 at 9:01 PM ^
It would be a well-deserved honor if he were to win.
December 1st, 2021 at 9:10 PM ^
I’m assuming this poll has no real bearing on anything? Still voted for Aidan of course, but didn’t know if it amounts to anything or not
December 1st, 2021 at 9:11 PM ^
Rock the Vote for #97

We have the power to add the fan ballot to Aidan’s Heisman tally.

He's got to have a big game on Saturday.
I've said before, I just don't see it. Not because he's not the best player in the country...but because this is Kirk Ferentz, he'll gladly run 2 and 3 man routes, keeping extra TEs and backs in to double team Hutchinson.
I actually think the back 7 is going to go OFF on Saturday.
Ohio State had the talent and is arrogant enough to think they could handle Hutch 1 on 1, and keep him off balance with double teams.
I don't think Iowa plays a single down where he doesn't see 2 guys. It's just the conservative nature of the program.
I also see them running the ball...A LOT.
December 1st, 2021 at 10:20 PM ^
The ratings for the game should be very high. It's in prime time. And the only other college game on at the same time is Pitt vs Wake, which has very little National interest.
Maybe another 15 million viewers.
December 2nd, 2021 at 3:36 AM ^
And if he performs well...even if he gets a UFR +18. Without 2 or 3 sacks, a FF, glamor plays...it won't matter how many people are watching.
No one is giving him the Heisman for setting up sacks for Ojabo on the other side just because he's taking on 2.5 guys on his side. Only folks like us see that stuff.
...and THAT is my point.
OSU was arrogant enough to think "we'll leave our first team OT on him and be fine, occasionally chip him with a RB." He ate them up. First time he saw one guy in forever.
Iowa will bring in another OT if it means keeping him away from the QB. Hell, they'll bring in 2 more.
They're happy to punt and try to win a FG fest, OSU wants to send out WRs and TEs and score, score, score. We dominated OSU and they still scored 3 TDs in a row. It almost doesn't make sense until you watch it. But it's HOW we made them score those TDs that won the game.
--------------------
The best way for Hutchinson to go off has nothing to do with his effort or skill.
The best way for Hutchinson to go off is for OUR offense to put up points. Do that, and make them chase the score, make them predictable, make them have to take that double team off and send more receivers into the play. Then feast.
But if they're within 10 points, it's going to be on the back 7 to create plays.
Blitzing Dax could be huge with all the attention on the edge rushers. Double covering guys (since they're only sending out 2 or 3) and getting tipped balls for INTs. That's where we can open the game up, create short fields, score, get up enough to let Hutch go chase his Heisman.
December 2nd, 2021 at 7:32 AM ^
Yes, Iowa watched game film on Hutch and will adjust their game plan accordingly. They probably would prefer to have their running game front and center, anyway. If they put too much attention on Hutch (if that’s even possible), they better watch out for Ojabo, Ross, and Gray. All I can say is that Iowa better not get behind the sticks.

How awesome if Michigan's softball coach won the Heisman!? That'd be so great!
December 2nd, 2021 at 7:31 AM ^
I mean, I’m honestly trying to think of who else would deserve it? Obviously not Stroud now. And if alabama loses on Saturday I can’t justify their QB?
December 2nd, 2021 at 1:35 PM ^
So let’s say we line him up at TE in the B10 Championship and he does some things…..
