How MSU Fans Get to the Bowl

Submitted by SlaunchaMan on
So, inasmuch as we can make fun of Michigan State fans traveling to a bowl -- I mean, at least they're going somewhere -- I thought I'd pass along this hilarity. Want to go to the bowl game, but just can't afford it? MSU Federal Credit Union (actually a great CU, the one I currently use even though I work for M) has a loan just for you! Because what we should be doing in this economy is taking out a loan to travel to another state and give them tons of business! https://www.msufcu.org/p_bowlloan.html?mnuccid=66&rd=1

As ridiculous as that is I can see why you like MSU CU....no app fee, and 9% interest is about as good as you can expect for an unsecured loan. Unless they somehow sneak in fees elsewhere that looks like a CU taking good care of their customers! (and there is no link to terms & conditions, so it'd be sleazy if they did have a catch)

"Pay only what your owe for as long as you borrow" Nice grammar. Anyways I wasn't going to point this out since I read their blog yesterday and they were congratulating us on doing well in bball and that we are strengthening the big 10 but then I remembered their billboards. Another note, I think that it is a good thing that the University/CU is trying to help get there students to the game however I don't think its funny if we are making fun of these kids for not having money or needing a loan.

I agree. No making fun of anybody, EVER! They're frickin' Spartans for God's sake! They were born to be made fun of! We purposely didn't make a bowl game so our students and alums could SAVE money in this time of economic distress! Spartans are so short-sighted!!!

Credit Unions are non-profit cooperatives that pay no taxes. You are not a "customer". You are a "member" of the coop. And the Credit Union operates with the blessing of the University, but is not an affiliate of the University. FYI.
