when I was at the Winterfest at Fifth Third ballpark in Grand Rapids, Hopcat had the WORST IPA I ever had in my LIFE (and I've had many). Hopefully your beer has improved, because we need more good microbrews in Meeeechigan.

but I have been there once. I am a beer guy. I go to Ashley's often. Like Ashley's Hopcat has many, many beer on tap. Not as many as Ashley's, but for a bar on the west side of the state, if you like microbrews, I have yet to see one that beats it. I don't know what you had, but when I was there last year they had at least 10 IPA's. Just b/c you didn't like what you asked for, doesn't reflect on the bar, but perhaps your own taste buds . . .

Hopcat is also a brewery. The poster had a "Hopcat IPA" and it was terrible.

My comment was only about the IPA they had at the Winterfest. It sounds like a great bar though.

true that. Their brews made on site sucked raw ass. However, their selection was great, all the screens were on the game, and their chow was good.
The owner gave us some crap during the game because he is MSU, but afterward he was nice because MarkyD is an ass.
