2019 QB/RB/ATH Matt Bills of Warren Woods-Tower (Warren, MI) has been offered a preferred walk-on spot with the Wolverines.

Bills was the MVP of Macomb County this past season. As a QB in the Titans Unbalanced Spread Offense he led the team to be the highest scoring team in the county and a top 3 team in the state in rushing yardage.

In the past two seasons under the spread system coordinated by OC Coach Genette, Bills ran the ball 180 times for 2833 yds and 43 TDs. Bills amassed over 6000 career total yards in his 3 seasons as starter. In the district final game vs Detroit King, Bills outgained CMU commit and Mr. Football winner Dequan Finn. Bills is 5’10 185 lbs and ran a 4.5 40 at the Rivals camp last spring.

I am one of the defensive coaches at Warren Woods-Tower (also my alma mater). Mr Bills is an incredible young man with athleticism and toughness that continues to amaze us and opposing defenses. Matt will be a tremendous addition to the program, and will fill in and help in any way possible.

Go Titans & Go Blue!

Jay Harbaugh was the one who reached out and offered him so it looks like at least as of now RB is what they are looking at. Gattis also met with him this past weekend so we shall see. Due to injuries and depth issues during the season he also played defensive back and played extremely well there so that could always be an option as well I could see.
