Harmon at the Bentley -- Go!!
I visited the Tom Harmon exhibit at the Bentley Historical Library today. It was a bit smaller than I had hoped but well worth the trip.
Make sure you read the old-timey newspaper articles about Tom Harmon. There is a scrapbook by Bill Koontz (in the display as you walk in) that has dozens of the articles. The article about Tom Harmon's 168 yard single running play is spectacular.
Here is a recap of one of the articles:
Seems Michigan had there very own clock fiasco at Franklin Field (Philadelphia) against Penn in 1939. Penn scored to get within 2 at 19-17 with 38 seconds left and then recovered the onside kick. Penn tried to call a time out (apparently the clock did not stop with change of possession) but was not granted one. The clock continued to run as the Penn coaches argued with the refs and finally ran out. Fans rushed the field and the refs had to be escorted out by the police.

At first I though you meant you saw Harmon at a Bentley dealership...

An MVictors article from last week has the duration of the exhibit and a few other details - LINK
If you would like to go, it will run until December 20th. The hours are 9 AM to 5 PM on weekdays and 9 AM to 12:30 PM on Saturday.

a few years ago at another library on campus. If you went to Bo's, how does the exhibit compare in size?

Did not go to Bo's. The front exhibit is 5 display tables and the continuation in the back is 4 cabinets on the wall.

Per DB from the Harmon presser, he said the Harmon family donated ALL footage of Tom Harmon to the university.
Who knows how much great stuff is in there. The thing that sucks is that the University will most likely sit on it and do nothing with it like many organizations do when they have access to historical footage ala BTN.

If they donated it to the Bentley, after it's processed, it will likely be made available to researchers if you want to go to North Campus (and who does?) to watch it.

I've never visited the Bentley building. Do I need some kind of registration to get in?

Nope, I am not a sudent and they did not ask for any ID. Just signed a sheet at the info desk to get a parking pass.

Is a treasure of first-hand and primary source material.
