As a '92 grad living in DC, you can imagine how psyched I was when these two guys came to DC.

What might have been . . .

To this day the only NBA basketball game I ever attended was in 1996 when I was 7 years old, the Bullets vs. Celtics in the USair Arena in Northern Virginia. Much of that same team, namely CWebb, Juwan and George Muresan, tallest player in NBA history. I remember asking my dad if the rims were shorter than our rim in our driveway at home.

For the record, USAir Arena was in Landover, MD. My next door neighbor had season tickets with his wife and when she didn't feel like going would take me or one of my brothers. I've never owned a basketball jersey, but to this day whenever I think about buying one, the only one I'd actually want is Webber's from when he was on the Bullets. What a cool player he was.

Okay, so 2 things immediately spring to mind:

Apparently this is an annual team message, or somehow I randomly had the 2017 version queued up as well?

Also, I understand why they did it, but damn if something didn't die inside me the day they decided to change the name to Wizards.

Wow, they also had Scott Skiles, my all-time favorite Spartan? (Not favorite as in he was a good person, but definitely favorite as, "that guy is an assassin and I wish he were on my my team"). That round-the-back pass in the NCAA tournament game against ... Georgetown, I think, was just eye-popping.

I can see why they didn't do much that year, but ... once you include Cheaney, some serious Big Ten vibes on that team!

I had a partial game season ticket package for the Bullets back in the early 90's.  Don't remember much about it, but I do remember watching Micheal hit for 50-some points one night.  Great time, that was!
