In happier news tonight, Nik Stauskas's huge week has netted him a deal with the Celtics
Congrats, Sauce!
Way to play himself back! There were quite a few doubters posting earlier. Hope he proves them wrong.
Had tacos tonight.... need to restock some sauce castillo!
That’s 🅿️
I wish there was more information on the terms of that deal. (But even without more information it seems like a great development.
That is great. Congratulations Nik !
I'm a huge Celtics fan, and I haven't had a Michigan player to cheer for since Mo had a short stint on bench last year. Timing is interesting since we just brought Matt Ryan up from G league as well for 3 point shooting. We've also got the older Hauser ahead of him for bench minutes. Hope he somehow finds an opportunity and can show the sauce!
Great news! Like I said in the other thread he truly belongs in the NBA in some shape or form.
So a two year deal in this case means the last twenty games of the regular season is guaranteed but next year is not. Hope he shows out.
Nik a Cel
Stauskas has a real chance with the Celtics The team recently has improved its defensive roster but still needs more outside shooting. Also, Aaron Nesmith and Jalen Brown sprained their ankles this week and will likely be out at least for Sundays game vs Brooklyn (Nesmith probably longer). So, Stauskas will likely get some extended play this week. One poster here said his second year is not guaranteed ---though the second article below says that’s “unclear”. In any case, he may have to show his skills pretty fast. With teams already jockeying for playoff position, minutes may be harder to find as time passes.
Here are the upcoming nationally televised games.
March 6, 1pm vs Brooklyn ABC
March 13 3:30 pm vs Dallas ABC
March 16 10:00 pm @ Golden State ESPN
March 30 7:30 pm vs Miami ESPN
April 7 7:30 pm @ Milwaukee TNT

Let's go Sauce! I've never like the Celts, but maybe I do now!
If he can put up 1/4 of those numbers with the Celtics, he'll do alright.
As a selfish Sixers fan, I do not find this news "happy." Congrats to Sauce, though.
Well done, Nick! Best of luck with this opportunity.
