"Michigan interim athletic director Jim Hackett wasn't sure what to expect when he went into the search to replace Brady Hoke.

But in just a week, one where he said he's been working hard, he's seen the results.

"The interest has blown me away," he told the Free Press at tonight's Michigan Football Bust at the Laurel Manor in Livonia.

Pressed for more details, Hackett gave a wry smile, refusing to divulge his recent travel plans."

Hacket is on the board at Ford Mo Co. The dude knows business ... & played for JH's dad & Bo. He will get JH here. That is his wry smile.

We can thank Dantonio for waking the big dogs up....

Two 11-win seasons at San Diego, took Stanford from 1-11 to 12-1 in four years, took a awful 49ers team to three-straight NFC championship games and a Super Bowl, strongest possible Michigan ties.  Oh and he's widely recognized as a top 10 coach in all of football.  That's why.
