Good Morning America show - 100% Penn State sucking up

Submitted by Happyshooter on October 19th, 2019 at 8:52 AM

We have Good Morning America on this morning while making breakfast.

The there have been 4 segments so far kissing up to Penn State. ABC/ESPN is 100% in the tank for Penn State. This is really bad

I don't know why anyone would claim Michigan fans are over-sensitive and whiny.

Yes, there are other schools out there, and while I find the culture around PSU to be extremely troubling, I don't think there's a problem with a show being shot there doesn't shit on the hosts for 4 hours.

"News" combines genuine, actual, solid news AND what will grab attention. The problems arise when attention grabbing overwhelms the actual news, but GMA ain't much in the news business, they're in grab-your-attention-with-feel-good-stories business.

That being the case, as BronxBlue suggests, focusing attention on the host makes sense. Another story about Harbaugh or an up-&-down season won't interest most Good Morning, America watchers.

Anyway, what matters isn't what some anonymous producer of one of the feel-good morning TV show decides will help ratings. What matters is what happens tonight.

Everyone is 100% PSU. Of all the talking heads, only Desmond Howard is going pick Michigan.

PSU has played only two decent opponents - Pitt and Iowa.  PSU’s offense is meh - there is no McSorley and no Barkley level talent and the OL sucks in pass pro.  PSU’s defense is solid and on par with Iowa - tough to run the ball on them but vulnerable to the short pass and deep fades.

Brown’s dudes need to shut off that white out shit - darken the mood all night.  Stuff them.  Defense is going to win this game.

Michigan 17 - PSU 13

Hope u are right. The way the offense has struggled with turnng the ball over , Shea’s inability or unwillingness to participate in the run game combined with failure to involve Nico/DPJ and Black  are the principle reasons why PSU is favored by 9.

If Shea gets himself right, the chances of an upset win are obv much better.

Media companies love synergy.

One of the GMA hosts is a Penn State grad, and the GMA/GameDay networks are within the same media conglomerate, and the shows air right after each other, and the aforementioned GMA host is going to be the GameDay guest picker .....

Nothing more than that.  It's just business.

No offense to the current players but F those assholes. Why anyone would wanna go to that shameful school is beyond me. All the facilities should have been torn down because of that monster and the geriatric pant shitting douche who covered for him.

There is nothing quite like the Penn State brand. Go to any major city and you will find a strong network of countless successful PSU alums.

By the way, you all are going to get smacked tonight. Luckily a lot of you seem to already understand that.

That psu brand will forever be remembered as the brand that enabled a pedophile to sexually assault young boys.

Those same alumni you mention voted for Paterno apologist Trustee candidates after the shit hit the fan there.  You have one horrid fan base who were/are happy to sacrifice child safety for football wins.

Henne to Manningham, bitch.

Now fuck off.

Bullshit.

I'm on a plane 40 weeks out of the year.  I travel a lot.

1.  Outside of the northeast, there's not much Pedo State around.  You're mostly a second-tier regional school.

2.  Most people outside of the NE are appalled at Pedo State alumni and how they support a network of child abusers.
