Full Basketball Schedule Released; We Host Maryland on New Year's Day
Michigan’s Big Ten basketball schedule was just released, so you can now see our full schedule HERE. Some highlights:
- We have only one conference game in December - Dec. 8 at Minnesota.
- We’re playing Maryland at home on New Year’s Day. Hunter will be pumped. (That’s a Sunday, so there are no bowl games that day - just NFL games.)
- Jan. 7 at MSU; Feb. 18 home against MSU.
- We close out the season with road games at Illinois and Indiana.

- Jan. 7 at MSU
Oh good. We play a football game on Jan 9. Glad there's no conflict there too!

Did you miss Kentucky, North Carolina, and Virginia?

This isn't bad, right?
But how is OSU a single game?
Swap out the h/h with Wisconsin, no need to send Juwan there this year. Go to OSU and have the one game versus the Badgers be at home.

This is the 7th straight season that Michigan has finished on the road. I'm not sure that's something they control for, but it's pretty crazy.

That last game is usually the Sunday before the BTT which starts Wednesday? Any chance you have our record available for the last game in those 7? Are we more often than not playing someone competitive or creampuff?
September 8th, 2022 at 3:28 PM ^
Yeah, it is sometimes a Saturday, but it is the weekend before the BTT.
Record is 3-3. Wins against Nebraska, Maryland, and Ohio State. Losses to Maryland and Michigan State x2.
I'd say other than the 2017 game against Nebraska, it's been a competitive game aimed at getting big ratings.

19-20: Maryland - L - Maryland was 24-7
18-19: MSU - L - MSU was 24-6

16-17: Nebraska - W - Neb was 12-17

The B1G should control for things like that ........ but they don't seem to.
Different sport, but Penn State's first conference football game has been on the road 7 straight years (and 12 of the last 13).

Just looked that up too - yep seven years! C'mon man, "There oughta be a law..."

The schedule actually seems decently spread out save for the 5 games in 8 days between Dec. 30th and Jan 7th. Excited to see how this year's team plays!

Except for that trip to London to play Kentucky. That's 3 games against power 5 schools, plus a trip to England in 9 days.

I hope Hunter Dickinson is still pissed at Maryland.

Just a reminder that the Big Ten looks to be extraordinarily weak this year. According to ESPN's way-too-early rankings, only Indiana and Illinois (who we play on the road the last two games) are top-25 teams, and they're both in the 12-18 range. We're just outside that.
Here's another preseason Big Ten power rankings list. The top four are Indiana, Illinois, Rutgers and Michigan. So nobody should scare us this year.

Looks like they won't be coming out west this regular season. Bummer for us West Coast Wolverines. I took my 5 year-old to his first basketball game when we played UNLV in Las Vegas last year. He had a blast. I hope to have another opportunity next season.

Road game at Indiana? Ugh.

I'm pumped for the UK game in London
