and i only wish we had more.  not that there is never a tear shed or a discipline issue with the kids, but generally i go home to one of the happiest, most harmonious households God ever gave to mankind.  my mgobride, who i'm convinced is nearly capable of walking on water, is a huge reason for that.  she is the greatest.

Questions about Friday Posbang Threads that keep me up on Thursday nights:

If I’m working in Berlin, and it’s midnight there, but only 6:00 PM in Ann Arbor, would it be okay to start a Friday Posbang Thread?

If I’m traveling from Beijing to San Francisco and still on the western side of the International Date Line at 12:00 AM Friday, can I start a Friday Posbang Thread, even though it then would be 12:00 AM Thursday in Ann Arbor?

And if I cross over to the eastern side of the International Date Line after having started a Friday Posbang Thread, should the MGoBlog moderators have to delete my Friday Posbang Thread?

Should I just go back to sleep, because the First Rule of Friday Posbang Threads is that you DON’T DISCUSS FRIDAY POSBANG THREADS?

Posted right at midnight, eh? It looks as if someone was sitting there waiting to post the Friday Posbang thread, sir. No biggie, of course. Some of us are asleep by midnight because of the whole work thing, of course, so it just means we end up being late to the party when we wake up in the morning and find the place littered with previously banged people.

This weekend, I have to take my wife to her birthday present - the Garth Brooks concert at the Joe. Not being in any way a fan of Brooks or country music in general, this shuld be an interesting experience for me indeed. She'll be cheering and singing along and I'll clap politely, I suppose. I can't really complain though - I've dragged her to Michigan Stadium, Crisler, Yost, Comerica, Ford Field, The Palace, The Joe for hockey and even several venues out of state over the years.

but, as it happens, I was drinking beers in an establishment outside the Huntington Arena in Toledo last year prior to (I think) a Keith Urban concert.  I have never seen such short skirts in my life.  Really, really short.  Kinda cute with the cowboy boots.  Have fun.

Heading to the Winter Beer Festival at 5/3 Ballpark in GR.  I will be hitting up Perrin (GR), Pigeon Hill (Muskegon), JP (Dexter), and the Grand Rapids Brewing Co booth!  Pigeon Hill is a must for anyone who has not tried their beer.

I love me some sours from Jolly Pumpkin, a definite must for the ambitious beer drinker.  Perrin's Kona Brown i had for the first time last week and that is a damn good beer.  I have yet to try Pidgon Hill's beers but a recommendation from the posbang thread is worth its weight in gold.
