So... I've had my Martini... and I'm onto some Leinie's Creamy Dark.... Also have a bottle of Sake calling to be heated... hmmm...
landing spot. will be interesting to see how he does.
Sharing a bottle of riesling (wife's choice,so I don't even know what kind/brand/grape/acidity/year/tannins/flavor/region/nationality it is) with my wife while watching NIU/BGSU...high possibility of The Hobbit interrupting football when she gets home from work soon due to wife preference, which is OK with me.
That's my wife's wine of choice. I find it's good with most anything.
Yeah I'm by no means a big drinker or anything, but I find a medium to medium-sweet riesling is typically easy to drink, tasty, and drinkable with anything...really a solid choice for any occasion!
If you can find it. "Turn Me Reisling". It will have a pinup girl on the label. FANTASTIC!
My wife really likes Riesling too, as well as Pinot Gris. We drink King Estate mostly, which is a vinyard near our place in Eugene, OR.
I think they're alright, but as I started getting into more bitter beers (IPAs mostly) I noticed that those types of wines started tasting really sweet to me. I don't drink wine all that often, but I think may pallette has started moving more toward reds and dry whites. At the end of the day though, I'm just a really big fan of alcohol in general!
Drinking Miller Lite while watching Star Trek TNG. Refreshing the blog while working on some software for work.
is good for you, so I bought a 5 liter box of Franzia Chianti (no fava beans). Works well on a budget (Santa wants his money, whether I want to drink or not) and isnt all that bad. Here's to good health
As soon as I put the tyke down, the Wife and I have a "date" to watch Red 2. I'm hoping it is as entertaining as the first one.
I was really hoping you were going to say you drank the whole box. I'm sad. Where's my bourbon
Possibly to be in my belly. Depends how this evening goes. I'm... enjoying myself.
to know I have taken the bag from the box and stapled it to the wall in the kitchen so I just stick my head under the tap every time I walk by?
Like I'm in college all over again.
At Manhattan in Toledo
I would LOVE to be down there right now. Order the snack plate with the beautiful proccutio on it, for me. I'm too drunk to make th 15 minute drive.
in my opinion
I'm trying Founders Porter. It's pretty good.
That's one of the best porters out there by far! It's a very, very good beer.
Neat. My favorite on cold, late fall or winter nights.
what are you, an osu fan?
I love Makers, and I hate the $uckeyes. Do I need to adjust those things I hold to be truths?
After staking 2:45 to go 15 miles because southerners can't drive in any amount of snow, I have had jack and coke and smoked to straight bourbon
2:45 minutes to go 15 miles? My daily commute is 54 miles each way, and it wouldn't take that long with a Zamboni prepping the expressways. Ouch. Another reason to love Michigan.
I had to help push a lot of beamers, mustangs and 2x4 pickups up hills so that I would be able to continue
I once drove a 72 corvette to Schuss Mountain/Shanty Creek ski resort in the dead of early Feburary, no problem. Southerners suck at driving.
Something dark. Haven't made up my mind as of yet.
Crown. It's a little chilly down here in North Texas and it's warming me up just right.
i'm at work and this water is awesome. if i'm lucky, maybe a cup of decaf!
Thought I would try somthing new so I bought Bell's Porter, and Bell's Winter White Ale. They're alright.
Try New Holland's Accumulation Ale. I'm not actually a Fat Tire fan (WAY overrated), but Accumulation is excellent.
Deschuttes (sp?) Chainbreaker is better. Had that at the local craft brew fest this past summer and have enjoyed it since.
Have you tried Founders Porter? It's one of the best porters out there, and way better than Bell's Porter.
Or Flor de Caña Gold. Haven't decided.
Bacardi and Coke...gotta get the juices flowing before I hit up the bars on what is my next to last weekend here as a student.
keg of natty light
You need to watch this while drunk:
No way it could be as good sober.
Just finished 3rd bottle of just unleashed from Gill's Pier. And ordered more because those were my last bottles
Hot cocoa with Bailey's. Yum.
Fish Tale Organic Amber Ale
House to myself so I'm emptying the liquor cabinet and blasting some Brand New because I'm being a hermit tonight and I don't even care so yeah
As someone who has listened to a lot of brand new while drunk, this sounds like a very depressing night. I am envious
It's actually great, man. No one bitching about my sweet music, and I can still get drunk and get a few things done.
Maybe a little depressing though....
Booze and Brand New. I've had my share of those nights. Neither is ever a wrong choice.
I love those nights I get the place to myself. Drag out the old vinyl and not have anybody griping.
im sitting at the bar in a hotel in westmont, IL drinking a gin and tonic...its very sad, im the only person here, plus no hendricks
Is it a new town for you? Because that's always fun, right? Bright side, man.
WHAT BRIGHTSIDE!?!?!? NO HENDRICKS! im here with 2 other guys, they went out, im beaing cheap before christmas
To World of Beer in Naperville. You won't be lonely and you'll have way too many choices of drink.
Apparently Shaun Crawford is going to visit OSU. I'm drinking battery acid
I visited OSU once....
... Of course I was in the marching band at the time
Deschutes "Jubelale" and 10 Barrel "Pray for Snow" are my choices for the night. Both out of Bend, Oregon.
We live in Eugene, and we got around 8 inches of snow today, which is very rare for the Willamette Valley. I braved the elements to pick up a few sixers, and I'm currently watching the MAC Championship. Not a bad night!
About to finish up a Bellaire Brown and then move to my last Dogfish Head Chickory Stout.
Bell's Winter White while making dinner. Terrenal Cabernet Sauvignon while eating dinner. Lismore single malt to warm the belly sitting on the sofa while watching TV with the wife
Creek. It's good to see you old friend
Ranger IPA with Andrew W.K. Pre-game time.
Cool night in SoCal. Drinking some Evan Williams Single Barrel.
90 minute ipa with some MACtion? Now that's a good night.
A little MACtion on a lazy Friday night, and a Scottish Wee Heavy I brewed a few months back.
Tulane holiday party in the French Quarter. I'm drinking all kinds of things.
Hand grenades? Aka alcohol with 1000 lbs of sugar in it.
It's pretty cold for Portland, OR. with a low, low wind chill. I'm holed up drinking a Zin, smoking some kind bud and watching some MACtion. All is well.
Scotch ale. Guy at Binny's recommended it and scored with that one.
Wow. Anyone not watching FOX Sports 1 just missed one of the best Heavyweight fights in MMA history between Mark Hunt and Bigfoot Silva. Amazing.
I don't get it, we're not watching any Michigan game so what's to drink to?
