Freshmen Participation Tracker after 9 Games
A new redshirt has been burned: Amorion Walker got his 5th game of the season agains Rutgers.
Kody Jones and Tyler Morris (he of the key catch) moved up to 4 games played on the season.
With all the multiple OL sets, not-yet-redshirted junior OL Reece Atteberry moved up to 2 games played.
If Roman Wilson remains unable to play, it's possible Tyler Morris burns his shirt next week.

Good catch, You are correct. I upped his # of games played to 2 but didn't give him the green "y". I'll have to live with my error since I can't edit the post :)

Oh wow I’m surprised is only his second game he’s seen time in. Do you remember which was the first he was in? Perhaps wasn’t quite back up to playing shape early-on after being out of the game for a couple years

It was in the first four games but I didn't start tracking this until the redshirt # was approached so the specifics from the first four games are all lumped together in my first spreadsheet. Maybe someone else can help out.

So Walker played one play, dropped the pass and burned his redshirt.
Quite the night.....

He may have been in on special teams, I'm not sure I saw him but there's a lot in this world that happens that I don't see. Maybe someone with access to the snap count data can check into it.

According to a list I saw on Mlive, Walker was out there for 16 staps on Offense

I went back and read Hello post on Walker and Tyler. Man, that was exciting to read. I know Walker had one throw that didn't go well, but we need them to play now with Wilson down. Walker with a little bit of experience can be a player who can go get it. Hope they come around by OSU game. We need someone to step up in the passing game by then in addition to what we already have..very exciting. Would love for a freshman to have a huge game, relatively, in the big game. That would be awesome and will speak volume to the recruits.

I’d like to see Morris get some more run, that was a nice catch in a small window at a crucial point in the game.
One thing I have noticed on several of these jump balls that other teams are throwing is that the wide receivers are shoving off right before the ball gets there. I think our receivers need to start doing that more and maybe that can provide the tiniest of separation(thinking about the Bell pass in the end zone where the defenders hand was in there).

This freshman class is stacked. Does this set up for the to all be JR's and JJ to be a senior and go on a freaky 2023 run? Of course, most assumed JJ is gone after next year and that well may be the case.
This freshman class + a blue chip qb has the chance to be a special team. The future, and "the now" look great!!

I'm concerned what the off season holds for Deuce Spurlock and Damani Dent.

agree...there is going to be attrition. No way around it, it's just how the world works now more than ever. I'm curious to see who sticks because man I think some of these guys that haven't played much still have a bright future and that could well be at UM playing ball.

Thanks for continuing to put this together every week.
